Most of the work is made in an applique format, but you can try a variety of activities to find something to your liking for the crumbs. Taking advantage of detailed master classes, parents can make interesting toys with their own hands with 3-year-old kids from cotton pads, master the modeling of simple crafts without unnecessary costs and hassle.

What kind of applications can you make?

Crafts for children 3-4 years old should be as clear and simple as possible. Using detailed instructions, you can create an original creative work for a competition in a kindergarten or for presenting at home to those close to the holiday. It is important not to look for too difficult tasks. Children have to do their own handicrafts without the help of adults.

From cereals

The simplest technique for making crafts with kids is drawing with semolina and other cereals. The relief paintings obtained in this case look beautiful and unusual. For work, it is worth preparing the table in advance, covering it with newspapers or oilcloth. The basis of the craft will be an A4 sheet, you will also need PVA glue with a brush. Pencils and felt-tip pens will help to apply the ornament to the sheet.

If semolina is used for crafts, it can be dyed in advance. The easiest way to do this is by mixing the cereals with grated crayons or its resins with gouache of the desired shade in a blender, and then sifting. The crafts themselves are made very simply.

  1. On a paper basis, the outline of the future drawing is indicated.
  2. Glue is applied inside it. It must be distributed evenly within the contour.
  3. Prepared groats are sprinkled on glue. Dries up.

If a previously painted semolina is used, then the contours are applied with the corresponding shades of felt-tip pens. You can make an apple or another simple picture using this technique. Large fragments from beans, peas, corn are used for the contour.

Corn, semolina, barley grits - for filling parts.

From paper

Among the simple crafts made of paper and cardboard, it is quite possible to find those that will appeal to the kid. For most jobs, an additional set of glue-stick, scissors, felt-tip pens and glitters for decoration will be enough. And also it is worth stocking up on ready-made eyes - they are sold in handicraft stores.

Among the simplest paper crafts, there are several options.

  • Butterfly with palm wings. First, you will have to circle the outlines of both palms of the child on white cardboard, then cut out 3 such blanks from colored paper. Cut an oval out of a sheet of a contrasting color, glue the "palms" on its reverse side in pairs. Add horns, eyes, a smile to the butterfly. The craft is ready.

  • Paper aquarium. The base will be blue - round or rectangular. Green curly algae, red corals, fish and other underwater inhabitants are glued inside it. You can cut a lock or mainsail out of dark brown paper. The baby will be able to glue all the details using a glue stick.

Older children can be offered making crafts from paper circles bent in half. A variety of insects and animals are perfectly obtained from them. The corrugated cardboard base will also help to add volume to the applique.

From cotton pads

The favorite material of creative people is cotton pads. They are perfect for making artwork using the applique technique. You can create a themed New Year's card with your child by placing a snow-white snowman on it. For work you will need:

  • white or colored cardboard, paper;
  • 3 cotton pads and a little cotton on a roll;
  • scissors;
  • glue;
  • brush.

Paper parts can be replaced with bright felt ones. The edges of the future postcard will look good if you cut them with curly scissors with a zigzag edge or smooth waves. After that, the lower part of the snowman's body is glued to the bottom of the sheet. The 2nd disc is superimposed on top of it. It can be reduced slightly with scissors.

Here is a description of the further work process.

  1. The 3rd cotton pad is glued on. Its size is preliminarily reduced.
  2. Cut out a bucket or other headgear. Attach a wadded snowman to the head.
  3. Make expressive eyes, a smile, a carrot nose from colored paper. Decorate the head, securing all the details with glue.
  4. From small pieces of cotton wool, make handles that look like snowballs. Fix to the middle disk.
  5. Decorate the leaf around the snowman with silver glitter and fluffy cotton wool.

You can choose any other decor. It is worth allowing the child to show their creativity by first covering the table with oilcloth.

From plasticine

This material is an excellent solution for creating artworks using the plasticine technique. A silhouette of the future image is drawn with a pencil on a sheet of cardboard. Internal contours are defined. After that, the child takes plasticine of different colors and applies it with strokes inside the contours. The picture will turn out to be bright and very unusual.

Making from napkins

The most common paper napkins can be turned into a base for making crafts. For example, bright yellows can be used to make a fun chicken. Here is the procedure.

  1. A silhouette of a chicken is drawn on a sheet of white paper.
  2. Lumps are made from napkins. They need to be rolled up quite tightly. You can split large pieces into smaller pieces and then crush them. If there is no desired color, white napkins are taken. They can be dyed later.
  3. Fill the chicken body contour with napkin lumps fixed with glue.
  4. Cut out wings from yellow colored paper. You can use the baby's palm as a reference. Cut out blanks, glue them on the sides.
  5. Make a triangular beak and paws from orange colored paper. Stick them on.

All that remains is to glue the eyes of the chicken. The craft is ready. No less interesting options for products can be obtained by making an applique in the form of flowers from pink napkins, or by forming a voluminous winter landscape or sea waves from white material.

Modeling from plasticine

Working with crumpled materials is the best solution for the development of creativity in children 3-4 years old. Even crafts created according to the same schemes for the smallest ones always bear the stamp of individuality. Moreover, at this age, plasticine toys are equally interesting for boys and girls. Accordingly, it will be much easier to keep the kids busy.

A flock of bright fish is what you need for the first experience of creativity with children. To create them at home, you will need a special board or oilcloth for modeling, a box of plasticine - it is better to take on a wax basis, large beads, sequins and other decorative elements. You can make a craft using simple instructions.

  1. A ball rolls down from the plasticine of the selected color. Slightly flattened at the sides so that it looks like the body of a fish.
  2. A tail, upper and lower fins are molded from plasticine of a contrasting color. With the help of a stack, you can give them a relief. Fasten the sculpted details on the body of the fish.
  3. Attach the eyes. It is better to make them from large beads or beads.
  4. Blind the mouth from 2 teardrop-shaped pieces. Fasten the fish on the head.

With the help of sparkling sequins, the child can lay out scales on the sides of the fish.

Such a craft will look very expressive. You can lay a bright contrasting strip of plasticine in the center of the body, decorating the upper and lower parts of the body in different colors.

Original options

Finding interesting and developing activities with a three-year-old child is quite simple. Every day, you can create simple crafts with it from the materials that are at hand. Easy and detailed step-by-step instructions will help to cope with this task even for parents who are far from creative experiments.

Apple tree from the sleeve

Even an empty roll of toilet paper can provide an idea for creativity. If you do not throw out the cardboard sleeve, it can be turned into a base for a craft in the form of a tree. Additionally, you will need colored paper, glue, a brush and paints for work, as well as scissors with safe blunt ends. Here is the procedure for making crafts.

  1. The sleeve is painted brown or pasted over with brown paper. After drying, its upper part is incised, imitating the branches of a tree.
  2. The future green crown is made of thick cardboard.
  3. Circles are cut out of red paper - apples. Are glued to the crown. You can crush it slightly for a more scenic look.
  4. The crown is glued to the base-sleeve.

Christmas tree from puzzles

If there is a child in the house who collects puzzles, inevitably there will be incomplete mosaic elements in it, in which part of the set is lost forever. Such cardboard pieces can be easily turned into an original New Year's craft. You just need to prepare additional materials:

  • fishing line;
  • green and brown paint;
  • rhinestones and sparkles;
  • beads;
  • glue and brush.

It is recommended to cover the child's workplace with oilcloth, protect hands and clothes with an apron and gloves. After that, you can lay out the pieces of the puzzle, paint them green and brown.These tones can be replaced with any others - silver, gold, blue and white. While the paint is still wet, it is generously sprinkled with glitter.

Well-dried items of the craft must be connected in the form of a Christmas tree, snowflakes. Glue with a brush, add the trunk if a Christmas tree is being made. Then you can decorate the surface with rhinestones, add other bright details. As soon as everything dries up, you can thread a fishing line through the workpiece, string beads on it, and fasten the loop.

A beautiful and unusual Christmas tree toy is ready.

Crumpled paper chicken

Children love unusual tasks. If at 3-4 years old the baby begins to try the world around him for strength, it is worth using this power for peaceful purposes. For example, how to wrinkle paper, turning it into a base for crafts. To make a bright yellow chicken, you need double-sided colored paper (green and red sheets are additionally taken), glue and ready-made eyes from a craft store. If they are not there, it does not matter, it is quite possible to do with the usual, overhead, white and black cardboard.

The order of work consists of several stages.

  1. Pick up a yellow sheet of paper. It should not be too dense, otherwise it will be difficult to crumple. The vibrant color will be a big advantage.
  2. Crumple the paper thoroughly by flipping it from one side to the other. Roll into a ball.
  3. Carefully crush the green leaf, then straighten it, giving it the appearance of a picturesque meadow.
  4. Roll a dense cone or triangle out of red paper. Glue the resulting beak onto the front of the chicken.
  5. Fix the eyes. If there are no ready-made ones at hand, it is enough to cut out 2 circles from black paper and 2 from white, of different diameters. Then it just remains to stick them on top of each other.
  6. Cut 2 wings out of yellow paper. Glue on the sides of the chicken.
