The use of materials at hand in the creative process is always very interesting and convenient during classes with a child. In order not to buy a variety of expensive raw materials for crafts, it is worth finding at home something from which you can make something new, interesting and creative. One of the most popular items every child has are pencils. Taking these stationery as a basis, you can make a lot of original things.

Original postcards

It is very important to come up with new and varied methods of working with children. It is important to experiment with non-standard materials at hand to keep your classes interesting. The use of products that are usually disposed of, for some new purpose, allows you to teach children to properly relate to everything that surrounds them, and to reuse what they previously did not pay attention to.

Often the creative activity of children is accompanied by drawing with pencils.... Thanks to the modern variety of these stationery products, you can purchase your child with simple pencils, colored, wax, crayons for drawing, each of which has its own characteristics. Sharpening wooden pencils, you can get a lot of beautiful shavings with a border of different colors; after planing wax products, a certain amount of colored chips is obtained. All of this waste can be reused to create postcards and crafts.

From chiseled pencils, it is quite easy to build a postcard for any occasion, for which you need to have:

  • a sheet of paper or cardboard for the base of the product;

  • a certain number of colored pencils;

  • sharpener;

  • PVA glue;

  • a simple pencil, pen or felt-tip pens to sign the postcard.

For children, working with pencil shavings will be very unusual, but very interesting. It is important to show correctly what to do by explaining the procedure for creating a postcard:

  1. prepare the base;

  2. decide what exactly will be shown on the front side of the postcard;

  3. mark the location of objects on the basis;

  4. draw a contour of the future product with a simple pencil;

  5. select shavings of the desired size and color for placement in specific areas of the pattern;

  6. apply PVA glue to a small area of the postcard and gently spread the shavings on it;

  7. as some areas dry, supplement the postcard with new elements.

As soon as the card is ready, you need to put something heavy on it, let the glue dry well. When the application is ready, you can open the postcard and write wishes for a specific event.

Using this technique, you can make postcards with:

  • tree;

  • flowers;
  • animals;

  • insects;

  • ladies in beautiful outfits;

  • original creative ideas.

In addition to ordinary pencils, you can work with wax products, creating no less spectacular postcards, but using a different technology.

To make such a product, you must:

  • prepare the basis for the postcard;

  • come up with an object, draw its outline;

  • sharpen pencils, grind the resulting shavings into powder, distributing them by color;

  • apply PVA glue to a small area, put in a bunch of shavings of a wax pencil lead.

The postcard will look interesting and bright if the drawing is laid out using different colors, placing them next to each other.

This method can be used to depict animals, flowers and faces, using a creative approach to the process.

Interesting decorations

Each child has a large number of pencils, some of which are practically new, while others are almost completely covered with writing. In order not to throw away the old leftovers of these stationery, you can come up with interesting crafts using them. The process of making pencil jewelry requires the help of an adult, but working together on such a craft will bring only pleasant emotions to everyone.

  5. when the size of the bracelet becomes suitable, you need to unscrew the fastening of the first bead, and connect the beginning and end of the product.

Thanks to simple manipulations with the remains of pencils, you can make an original, bright and natural bracelet with your child.

It is advisable to use multi-colored pencils, and select the shade to match those that were used in the process of creating the bracelet, so that the finished accessories look like a set.
