Making a craft "Ballerina" from leaves
School and kindergarten contests "Gifts of Autumn" are full of various handicrafts made from materials that we are generously gifted with in the cool season. Everyone is trying to do something original and interesting. The volumetric applique "Ballerina" made of autumn leaves will look very beautiful and elegant. In this article we will tell you what you need to make such a craft and how to make it.
What is required?
Graceful and beautiful ballerinas amaze with their posture and ability to dance beautifully. Autumn crafts in the form of a dancer look no less elegant. To make this craft, you will need the following materials:
- dancing ballerina template;
- pencils or markers;
- white cardboard;
- Maple leaves;
- rhinestones, beads or sequins for decoration;
- gooseberry and mountain ash;
- glue;
- scissors.
Try to prepare everything in advance so as not to be distracted from making the craft.
How to make an applique?
There are several interesting options for the dancer's craft.
Volumetric
Before you start making a voluminous craft in the form of a ballerina from autumn leaves, decide on the basis.
If you draw beautifully, you can draw a dancer figurine yourself.
It will be much easier to take a template from the Internet and print it on a printer.
Carefully cut out the template and glue it onto a piece of white cardboard. Mark the facial features with a pencil, draw a hairstyle, preferably a high bun. Don't forget the corset with spaghetti straps, gloves and pointe shoes with ribbons.
Next, you should do a voluminous skirt. It is in it that the whole "highlight" of this application lies. Lay out a few sheets in the first layer and glue them to the body. The second layer will be voluminous.Twist each sheet at the base to form a cone, glue. Gently attach the cones to the base of the skirt and secure with glue.
To add more volume, you can make another layer of leaves.
Let's do the decor. Pour more PVA glue at the base of the skirt and sprinkle with rhinestones on top, wait until dry. Lubricate the corset with a thin layer of glue and carefully decorate it with tweezers. Do the same with your hair, neck and arms. Decorate your elbows with rowan berries.
Now we need to decorate the background. Paste a couple of aspen and maple leaves into the background. Make beautiful roses that add dimension and appeal to the appliqué. Take a large maple leaf and fold it in half. Start twisting it into a tight tube.
Wrap the resulting bundle with another sheet, making each circle slightly looser than the previous one.
Take a medium-sized maple leaf, wrap the resulting flower in it and fix it with glue.
Make several of these colors and spread them over the surface of the cardboard. Complete the applique with gooseberry fruits.
Doll
A ballerina doll using a real Barbie will look very beautiful. Take a round piece of brown cardboard and attach rowan bunches and chestnuts to it with glue or plasticine. Roll an oval out of the white mass and slightly extend the front part, forming a muzzle. Mark the eyes and nose with black plasticine. Insert seeds instead of needles. Get a hedgehog.
Twist a cone from an A4 sheet and put it on the waist of the Barbie doll - this will be a skirt. Begin to glue the maple leaves onto the skirt from the bottom up, fixing each subsequent layer on top of the previous one and gradually reducing their size.
Wrap the body with one leaf so as to form a corset. Tie a ribbon or colored tape around your waist.
Let's take care of the decorations. Since the craft is carried out in the autumn theme, the decor will also be made from the gifts of this season. Using PVA glue, fix the rowan fruits on the wrist and neck: you will get a very beautiful bracelet and necklace. Place the ballerina in the center of the stand. The craft is ready.
Standard
This version of the autumn application is the simplest and is suitable for the younger group of the kindergarten. Print out the template, collect and dry the rowan leaves. Glue the template onto colored cardboard and let dry. Separate the leaves from the branch and glue each one in turn, forming a fluffy skirt. Leave the two smallest leaves on the corset. Decorate the cardboard with additional decorative elements.
Recommendations
Leaves should be picked in dry weather, in mid-September, when they are at their brightest.
Dry them by placing each piece of paper between the sheets of a magazine or ironing them before using. This will make them more malleable, and the craft itself will look more attractive.
Remember that naturally dried material is more resistant to wear and tear. The ironed petals are fragile.
It is better to paint the torso of the template with felt-tip pens and pencils, since there will still be gaps between the grains of beads and rhinestones. For better hold and shine, coat the decor with clear nail polish. Leaves can be sprinkled with gilded glitter or sprayed on.
Before hanging the applique on the wall, it is recommended to leave it in a horizontal position for a short time so that the glue adheres better.
