Making a craft "Vase" from leaves

With the onset of autumn, you can see many fallen leaves under your feet - why not use this material for crafts? Leaves are a widespread material for creating unique crafts, and you can use any. To make one vase, you can combine leaves of different colors: yellow, green, red, or make a craft of the same color. To do this, you will need a minimum of improvised materials, the main of which is, of course, dry leaves.

It is easy to make such a cute craft "Vase" from natural material with your own hands in a minimum of time. It will look great both at home on the window (you can put apples or sweets in it), and at the school at the exhibition. Additionally, the leaves can be colored with bright colors at will: with felt-tip pens or paints.

For a vase of leaves you will need:

• PVA glue;

• balloon;

• brush;

• a bowl;

• Maple leaves.

Let's consider all the stages of work.

• We prepare maple leaves for autumn crafts. They should be clean, tidy and preferably the same size.

• Cut off the cuttings from the leaves.

• We take a balloon, inflate it. Tie tightly with a thread. We insert the ball into the bowl. Any mayonnaise or herring bowl will do.

• We take each leaf and grease it with glue, after which we alternately glue it onto the ball.

• When all the leaves are glued, we grease the entire surface with glue (all glued leaves).

• Blow off the ball. Please note that we do this only after the glue is thoroughly dry. We are waiting for the vase to dry completely from the inside.

• If you are not satisfied with the edges of the vase, you can trim them (oval or zigzag).

A vase made of dry leaves is a real find for the interior, which will bring coziness. In addition, thanks to the master class, you can make a vase that will look great at a school exhibition. The second version of the craft is very similar to the first, only instead of a ball we will use a plate.

We suggest taking a glass bowl-plate.

For crafts on the theme "Autumn" you will need:

• cling film;

• glass deep plate;

• leaves;

• PVA glue.

Let's get to work.

1. First of all, we wrap the outside of the plate with cling film. You can put it in several layers - this makes it even easier to remove.

2. We put PVA glue on the film (on the outside of the plate).

3. We spread the leaves on a plate one by one, also greasing them with glue. The main thing is that they are dry, but not crumble.

4. We cover the entire container with leaves.

5. Finally, once again, coat all the PVA leaves well. We leave to dry.

6. After a few days (when the glue is completely dry), remove the film from the plate along with the leaves.

7. After we remove the film, only leaves will remain. This is what we need!

If the leaves were recently harvested, you will have to wait a long time for them to dry. If you don't have time for that, there is a way to dry them quickly. The oven will do just fine for this purpose. You need to take a baking sheet, then put the dried and well-washed leaves on it in a thin layer. The main thing is that the leaves fit snugly to the baking sheet.... The oven heats up to 100 degrees. All you have to do is wait for the material to dry. It is important not to overdo it, otherwise the leaves will begin to curl.

There is another option (the easiest and fastest) to get even and smooth leaves, suitable for school crafts. You will need an iron to dry. You must select the "silk" mode. We take an A4 sheet, put the leaves on it, cover them on top with another A4 sheet. We iron the leaves for several minutes on a hard surface so that they do not wrinkle. When the leaves are ready, you will understand for yourself: they will become dry, but not brittle.

A craft such as a vase of leaves can enliven the atmosphere in the house and create the appropriate mood.... By combining different decorative elements and leaves of different colors, you can make an original vase that will decorate your home. Small trinkets can be folded into the resulting product, and if the vase is on the kitchen table - fruits or sweets. Wish you bright crafts and positive emotions from creativity!
