Making pear crafts
In kindergartens and elementary grades of schools, exhibitions of handicrafts dedicated to autumn and harvesting are held annually. You can create a unique composition from fruits and vegetables growing in the garden. One of these materials is pear: a delicious and easy-to-process fruit. From it you can create not only crafts for children's exhibitions, but also a unique element of table decoration.
Fundamental rules
For all crafts, you need to follow the basic instructions that will make the work interesting, and most importantly, safe.
- If the craft is intended for a children's exhibition, you need to take a hard pear, preferably unripe. This will prevent the fruit from spoiling quickly.
- For a festive table, juicy, dense pears are better suited.
- Fruit should not be spoiled or diseased.
- Decorative items in crafts must be hypoallergenic and safe for children. In addition, pears are not allowed to be treated with chemicals.
All work must be carried out in the presence of an adult. In the process, knives or toothpicks can be used, small children can easily harm themselves.
It is better to make crafts just before a holiday or an exhibition, so that the fruit does not lose its appearance.
How to make a duckling?
A festive table in kindergarten can be decorated with an unusual figurine of a little duckling. For her you need a hard pear, a large, even carrot and toothpicks.
- The pear should be taken in a light color, close to yellow. Cut off the tail of the fruit and then divide it into two parts. They will go to the eyes of the duckling.
- Cut the carrots into rings about 1.5-2 cm thick.
- The first step is to make the duck's beak. To do this, cut 1/4 part from the carrot ring.Visually find the middle of the side of the top of the pear and insert the workpiece into the selected place with a toothpick.
- Cut 1/3 part of the carrot from the ring. From the larger piece, make a semblance of a comb with three teeth. Place the workpiece with a toothpick on the top of the pear.
- Now you need to make the legs. From two rings of carrots, similar to the previous point, make a blank with three cloves. The only thing is that the pieces must be whole, you do not need to separate them beforehand. Using toothpicks, attach the legs to the bottom of the pear.
- In places where the eyes should be, make small indentations with a toothpick. Insert the pieces of pear tail prepared in the first paragraph into the pits.
It turns out a cute duck that will perfectly complement the children's table. The figurine can be added or changed to your liking.
It is important to remember that a knife and toothpicks are used in the work, which means that one of the adults must help the children.
Making a hedgehog
Another common craft. It is suitable for school, because small children can get hurt on sharp toothpicks. The end result is a beautiful autumn composition made from simple ingredients. For crafts you will need: pear, grapes, toothpicks, olives and some berries for decoration.
Step-by-step instruction.
- Rinse the pear well and cut off one of the sides. This will be the base of the hedgehog, which will hold it on the table.
- Leave 1/3 of the pear empty, and stick toothpicks into the rest of the surface. The distance between them should be sufficient to accommodate the grapes.
- Place the grapes on toothpicks. The variety is not important in this case.
- In the same way, use toothpicks to thin out the entire surface of the pear.
- Now you need to make a hedgehog's face. Insert 2 toothpicks next to the proposed nose, leaving the tips sticking out 1 cm. Cut the olive in half and place one of the parts on the toothpicks.
- Make neat notches in the pear. Cut small pieces from olives and insert them into the prepared openings.
- Antennae can also be made from toothpicks.
To create a composition on the theme of "Autumn", the prey they carry must be planted on the needles of the hedgehogs. For example, it can be forest mushrooms, instead of which halves of peaches or apricots are suitable.
Bright berries will help to make the craft more saturated: strawberries, raspberries. You can create a contrast between the needles and the muzzle by peeling off the peel from the front. Cute hedgehogs can decorate a festive table or an exhibition of children's works.
More ideas
Besides the hedgehog and the duckling, there are many other unusual figurines that can be made from fresh pears. The best variety for crafts is decorative, characterized by an even shape and a beautiful yellow color. It is preferable to take unripe strong fruits that are not susceptible to diseases or pests. They will be able to delight children with their appearance for a long time. But for serving, it is better to choose soft pears.
Brownie
An easy craft that will suit the smallest family members. The body parts of a fairy-tale character can be made of plasticine or suitable fruits, and the hair can be made of ropes or branches of dill or parsley. They can be easily fixed with a thread on the pear stalk.
A car
Boys will like to make such a pear craft. It is done quite simply: the fruit is taken as a basis, and the wheels are made from chopped round carrots or bananas. They are attached to the pear with toothpicks.
If the craft is not intended for the table, you can paint the windows and headlights with paints.
Little man
The craft can be done by both toddlers and older children. For the first, the easiest way is suitable: just cut out the peel in place of the eyes, nose and mouth, and insert pears or matches instead of legs and arms. Adult children will be able to turn a pear into a real work of art. They will be able to use toothpicks without fear of injury.
So, you can attach the little man's nose from a small berry, cut out the eyes in the peel and put pieces of the tail instead of the pupils. In addition, you can make a hat for the little man.To do this, cut a round slice from the largest diameter part of a pear or apple and make a hole in the middle. Put the blank on the top of the pear so that 1/3 of the crown remains above the hat.
Owl
Suitable for creating an unusual composition on a fruit plate. The pear should be cut lengthwise near the core so that it is not visible. Peel the kiwi and cut 2 large circles. Put most of the pear on a flat plate, place the kiwi slices near the top. In the middle, instead of pupils, put half of the dark grapes. Cut a slice of kiwi into 2 equal parts - they will be the wings. Make the beak and claws of an owl from black grapes. The beautiful design of the fruit plate is ready.
Mouse
Making a mouse from a pear is very simple. You can use a shoe lace as a tail, and pumpkin seeds for the eyes. Ears can be cut directly from the pear: make cuts in the intended places and bend them so that the ears "stand". Pumpkin seeds are inserted into the pear by 1/3. So the eyes will stick out, which will make the figure more unusual. For the tail, you need to make a small hole, for example, with a match, and insert the lace with it.
You can come up with an original pear craft yourself. Kids will love taking part and coming up with unusual figures. Pears can be painted with paints or felt-tip pens, decorative elements can be added. It is important to remember that such compositions will not be able to decorate the festive table, and for young children you need to choose only environmentally friendly materials.
Pear crafts will not only become an excellent table decoration, but will also help develop the child's fine motor skills, creative thinking, and teach him to be industrious. Adults will be able to spend more time with their child, giving him an unforgettable experience.
