Making cacti from cucumbers

Many interesting and unusual crafts can be made from a rich harvest. For example, you can make elegant cacti from ordinary cucumbers. Such interesting transformations turn out to be quite simple to implement, so even the smallest masters can resort to them.

Making original cacti from cucumbers is quite an affordable activity for preschool “homemade” ones. It will be not only easy for the child, but also curious to do such creative work.

Everyone knows perfectly well what cacti look like and what cucumbers look like. It is extremely difficult to confuse them, since they are similar only in color. However, an interesting task can be set for the child, which consists in making a "twin" of a cucumber into a real cactus. Most young craftsmen are immediately interested in such processes.

If the child has not made such crafts before, it is advisable to start with the simplest classic options. Having mastered them, it will be easier for the kid to continue to do needlework at more difficult levels.

To make a cactus from a cucumber according to the classical scheme, you need to stock up on the following components:

• a few fresh cucumbers;
• toothpicks;
• needles (they can be collected from a tree or pine);
• flower (absolutely any attractive plant will do);
• you will need an item from which a good pot for a homemade cactus will come out (for this purpose, you can use bell pepper).

If all the simple materials and tools are prepared, you can proceed directly to making the original crafts from the fresh harvest. Let's consider step-by-step instructions on how to do it correctly.

• First you need all the vegetables wash and dry.
• Next, you need to take one fresh cucumber... It will need to be carefully cut obliquely. Next, toothpicks are used. With their help, you will need to attach the cut part to the whole cucumber. The result should be a green structure that resembles a small cactus.
• To make the blank look even more like a thorny plant, it will need to be supplemented with other important details. We are talking about thorns-needles, pre-collected from pine or spruce. In addition, the blank will need to be supplemented with a small flower to make it look more like a cactus.
• You need to properly prepare a pot for crafts... To do this, cut off the top of the bell pepper. All elements that are in the interior must be completely removed.
• The finished cucumber cactus will need to be placed in a prepared red bell pepper pot. The craft will turn out not only very original, but also beautiful. Such a cucumber cactus can be made in kindergarten.

Creative cucumber cacti can be made not only with flowers and bell peppers. Cute crafts are obtained by combining cucumbers with carrots.

Let's consider step by step how you can quickly make such a product without facing unnecessary difficulties.

• As in the previous case, first, all vegetables must be thoroughly washed. You will also need to peel the carrots.
• Like a real cactus, a cucumber plant will need to be placed in a suitable pot. It can be made not only from bell peppers, but also from any other vegetable or fruit. For example, it could be half a small melon.

• When the container for the improvised cactus is ready, you can proceed to work with cucumbers. You should take one larger cucumber and another smaller cucumber. Both the first and the second part must be cut diagonally.
• After that, two cut green vegetables are required fasten together with several toothpicks.
• At the next stage, the cucumbers need to be supplemented with thorns, which are one of the main components of any cactus.... For these purposes, you can again use needles previously collected from a Christmas tree or pine. If you don't want to use such natural ingredients, you can do it easier - take ordinary toothpicks.
• In both cucumbers, fastened together, you will need to insert a sufficient number of sharp toothpicks... It is advisable to insert them to a depth of about the middle. It is advisable to leave different, but not too small, gaps between such wooden thorns.
• In the previous version, the craft was supplemented with a natural flower in the upper part. Flowers are no longer used in this master class. Washed and peeled carrots will be used instead.
• The carrots will need to be carefully cut into separate slices. One of them will need to be trimmed with a small knife so that a flower-shaped detail with four petals is formed.
• Ready-made flowers from fresh carrots will be needed fix at the top of each cactus cucumber.
• The original and funny craft is almost ready. It remains to place the "dressed up" cucumbers with needles and carrots in a pot made from half a small melon. At this stage, the product will be completely finished.

Despite the fact that a cactus made from cucumbers and carrots is made quite simply, it is better not for a child to make it alone.

Making a cool vegetable craft is not at all difficult. Even the smallest children can easily cope with such work. However, it is advisable to take into account some useful recommendations regarding such creative operations.

• The main thing that both adults and children should remember is the purity of all the products from which the craft is made. Both cucumbers and any other vegetables must be perfectly clean. Products must be free of dust and dirt. It is recommended to make cacti or any other things not only from washed, but also completely dry ingredients.

• If you want all the work to be carried out neatly, you must use well-sharpened knives. It is not recommended to use kitchen tools with dull blades. With knives like this, you won't be able to make neat cuts. This will negatively affect the attractiveness of the finished crafts.

• Often products made from cucumbers and other products turn out to be a task in kindergarten or elementary school... For example, it can be crafts on the theme of "Autumn". It should be borne in mind that autumn crafts are recommended to be made only from unripe components.

• You need to use exclusively fresh vegetables.... If the cucumbers are stale, have damage, darkening, traces of rot or mold, then in no case should they be used in work. It will not be possible to make a beautiful craft from spoiled components.
