How can you make a plasticine sunflower?
Plasticine modeling is an exciting activity for children of any age. Thanks to sculpting, children develop creative thinking, perseverance, and mental abilities. Psychologists recommend teaching a child to sculpting from an early age - it is not the result that is important, but the process, which should not be forgotten.
Many parents invade the child's creative process and try to help him. But children should try to learn something on their own, so the intervention of adults should be minimal. In the article, we will consider lessons on modeling a sunflower from plasticine.
Simple option
Sunflower is a bright plant that charges with positive emotions. The finished plasticine craft can be placed on a sheet of paper and placed behind glass or added to the doll's garden (if the plant is planned for a garden near the dollhouse).
For work you will need:
- plasticine - green, black, yellow;
- plastic knife;
- a toothpick (can be replaced with a cotton swab rod).
Let's consider the stages of work. Since the base of the plant is the stem, let's start with it. We wrap the toothpick with green plasticine (you can first roll the sausage and knead the plasticine in your hands). We leave one end of the toothpick clean (2-3 mm), that is, do not cover it with plasticine. Now let's start making a flower. The flower looks very bright, there are seeds inside it. We sculpt a round cake from green plasticine and flatten it.
Now we take black plasticine (we will make seeds from it). Roll up a large number of balls to fill the flower beautifully. Place the rolled balls over the entire surface of the flower. Now we take yellow plasticine to mold petals of the same size. We make something like droplets out of the yellow mass, and then flatten them.We attach the petals to the flower with seeds around the entire circumference. It is important that the petals are firmly attached to each other and overlap in some places.
Now we need a knife (stack). With its help, we form thin veins in each petal. The flower is transformed after that literally before our eyes! A plant cannot be imagined without leaves - we will make them. The leaves are performed in almost the same way as the petals, only they should be slightly larger. When 2 droplets are ready, we form cuts on them, repeating the pattern on the leaves. We attach the leaves to the middle part of the stem (one above, the other slightly below). We plant a beautiful flower with seeds on the stem. The craft is ready!
How to mold with natural materials?
You can make a craft using natural materials, that is, seeds. Such a craft turns out to be bright and colorful. For crafts you will need:
- a sheet of cardboard;
- plasticine;
- pumpkin and sunflower seeds;
- tree branches (thin);
- sculpting board.
Craft making consists of several steps. And from the orange plasticine we create a ball, and then flatten it. Insert pumpkin seeds around the circumference. We attach the blank to the cardboard.
Insert sunflower seeds into the core of the flower. We sculpt leaves and a stem from a green bar. From the twigs we create a wattle fence for the flower (you can use brown plasticine sausages). The craft is ready! You can additionally decorate it with the sun and clouds.
Useful Tips
Plasticine sculpting develops the imagination of the child. In the case of the second craft (with natural materials), you can replace the branches of a real tree with plasticine branches. Have the child roll up some sausages and make a wattle fence out of them. If the size of the sheet allows, you can go further. Place sheep, clouds or even a house next to a sunflower.
Store-bought plasticine (if this is a regular budget option) is usually hard, and children’s hands can hardly warm it up. But there is one secret: you need to put the plasticine that you plan to use in a bowl of warm water and wait 2-3 minutes. After this time, you can get it out and start kneading it - this way the modeling will be much more pleasant. Master classes are equally useful for sculpting a sunflower at home as a hobby, and for groups in kindergarten or school.
It is known that a common occupation always unites. If you want to get closer to your child, there is nothing better than joint creativity!
