Crafts from pompons

There are several simple ways to make pom poms. Let's consider the most popular ones, and decide for yourself which one to use.

The method is very simple. A circle of the diameter we need is outlined on the cardboard, while you can use improvised means, such as lids, mugs or small jars, or you can use a compass. From the inside, draw a small circle with a diameter of about 2 centimeters. Similarly, we make the second same circle. The circles are superimposed on each other, and the ring is wrapped quite tightly with yarn in a circle. The thread is cut along the outer edge and the main thread is tied between the bagels.

The method is similar to the first one, but with the only difference - a small area is cut out of the circle. Immediately insert the thread between the bagels. It is easier to wrap such a workpiece due to the remote sector. The threads are also cut from the outside of the workpiece, then we tie the pompom, remove the circles and straighten it.

It is also exclusive easy way. A rectangle made of thick cardboard is enough, while winding the thread on the wide side, having previously secured the thread for tying the pompom. Cut the side of the yarn opposite to the thread and form a pompom.

To make small balls, use either winding on the fingers, or winding on the tines of a fork. Now on sale there are plastic devices for making balls from threads... Regardless of the method of creating a pom-pom, the main difficulty is trimming the threads; everything must be done not only neatly, but also evenly.

You can create pompom birds from both large and small balls. As an example, consider a master class on creating a chicken.... To do this, you need any cardboard or plastic blank, yellow acrylic or woolen yarn, a pair of black beads for the eyes and red felt for the legs with a beak and a comb. Chicken can be made from either one or two pompons. First, wind the thread tightly around the workpiece, and form a fluffy ball.

The next step is to sew or glue the balls, then glue or sew on the beads for the eyes, cut out the legs, beak and a small comb from the felt, and attach them as well. That's all - our chicken is ready.

Instead of felt for the feet, many different options are used: crocheted or made from materials at hand, such as plastic cocktail tubes. You can make the bird more difficult, for example, a bullfinch or titmouse, an exotic parrot or hummingbird. The main difficulty lies in the sequence of the colored threads and the location of the yarns.

Pompons are also used to make a cute bunny, which can be made as a toy for small children or used as a keychain for older children.

To make a toy with our own hands, we need: gray or white yarn, beads for the eyes and nose, pieces of gray and pink felt or white and pink for the ears and tail of a bunny. First, we form two balls of different sizes, and sew the smaller one to the larger one. Next, we attach the eyes and nose to the glue. We cut out ears from felt, gray or white should be more than pink, since they are the outer side of bunny ears. We glue the pink ears on the gray (white) ones, and attach everything to the head.

Any fantasy is suitable for making pom-poms. For example, create toy dogs, sheep, bulls, bears, horses and other animals. Successful in this technique will be performed and flowers and fruits.
