Crafts for City Day for kindergarten and school can be quite varied. It is imperative to find out how to make simple drawings and voluminous crafts with children with your own hands. It is also worth paying attention to various ideas and interesting options.

What to do for the smallest?

Firework

Even those who have recently started going to kindergarten have to cook handicrafts for City Day with their own hands. And for them, one of the easy options is to demonstrate a solemn fireworks display. It is believed that one of the easiest ways to present these plots is through decorative drawings. They are also very durable and will delight even months after the holiday. They are usually based on cardboard or black paper.

If there is no dark material, just paint a regular sheet as needed.

Darkening the base is required for the reason that the plot implies evening or even night time. You can draw with both gouache and finger paints. For your information: it is hardly worth using watercolors - it will not allow you to create a festive mood. In order to diversify skills and not constantly make the same type of images for every city holiday, you can focus on different techniques. Along with drawings, you can make appliqués, and even miniatures with volume.

Coat of arms

This version of crafts on the theme of City Day should be done with older children. Still, here you need to understand the essence of the concept, the ability to maintain proportions and the general aesthetics of the city symbol. However, much depends on the general and artistic development of a particular child. The easiest way to prepare the coat of arms is to cut it out of colored paper. Bonding, especially the origami technique, is already a somewhat higher level.

Important: despite the relative ease of cutting, you must work carefully. All parts of the composition are transferred separately, and - as carefully as possible. It is useful to mark individual fragments, put numbers on them from the inside out. Then it will be possible to control the process effectively.

City coats of arms of complex composition are often molded from plasticine. Parts of the composition in this case are cut out sequentially. A standard stack and a knife will help with this. The mass is simply rolled out and then cut off as required. Alternatives:

  • drawing with felt-tip pens;
  • pencil drawing;
  • preparation of a drawing from colored sand or other atypical material.

In addition to the coat of arms and fireworks, the smallest can also do:

  • crafts in the spirit of iconic architectural structures and landmarks;
  • postcards;
  • decorative inscriptions in photo frames;
  • beautiful inscriptions on posters.

Ideas for schoolchildren

Crafts for school dedicated to City Day are much more diverse than those made in kindergarten. Schoolchildren can "take their own" at the expense of the scale. A great option is a layout of the city or its central square made of boxes. It's also a good idea to mimic the most iconic landmarks in the same way. It is very useful to prepare a plan for the future craft on paper.

Structures are assembled from single parts. They are printed and glued. You can simplify your work by printing individual elements of historic buildings and other structures. It is quite possible to draw them with your own hands. The sheet will have to be bent so that it can "stand" and maintain its geometric shape.

If the day of the city falls in autumn, then it is quite logical to use fallen leaves, cones and acorns. Easy to handle, available at no additional cost, the material allows for a wide variety of compositions. You should not chase especially complex plots, you need to choose relatively simple solutions. Postcards and toys, appliqués and decorative ornaments are an obvious option. You can also display images of local plants and animals: it's fresh and original.

City Day crafts can also be based on those ideas that are used for school holidays. We are talking about:

  • homemade paintings;
  • graceful bouquets;
  • postcards with a self-selected plot;
  • baskets with berries and fruits;
  • satin ribbons;
  • compositions from seashells.

Interesting options for adults

An excellent volumetric craft is a decoupage box. The box can be weaved in a few hours. The drawing is applied to the surface using a printer. The bottom of the product is covered with natural fabrics. Decoupage of the board can be done using the two-step craquelure technique.

An alternative option is a craft based on colored paper, plasticine and corrugated cardboard. For work you will need:

  • typical glue;
  • high density cardboard;
  • stationery scissors;
  • marker;
  • pencils;
  • glasses of water;
  • acrylic paints;
  • artistic brushes.

To begin with, the necessary silhouettes are cut out of cardboard. For example, a row of houses to create a street. Then the template is drawn with a pencil along the contour. The parts that will be connected are equipped with a cutout in the middle. Particular attention should be paid to working out small details.

Holidays can be played up with paper flowers. Artificial bouquets are in demand for any celebrations and are made according to approximately the same pattern. Corrugated paper is usually taken as a basis. In addition, you will need a soft wire that will create the stems. Flower decoration should be done as carefully as possible; petals are created from cardboard.

If you don't like paper bouquet, you can try appliqués and homemade cards with matching images. A good alternative is a panel of twigs.It is produced using a stencil, because the shape must be carefully maintained. The selected stencil is transferred to colored cardboard and cut. The twigs are glued with PVA glue; it is quite possible to break off unnecessary parts of twigs.

But adults can build on those ideas that preschoolers use. There is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of if the idea is implemented skillfully and sensibly. Examples:

  • a stylized image of a family walking in the park;
  • fabulous plot;
  • a coat of arms created from small details with the signature “I love my city” or a similar dedication;
  • self-composed poem in a frame.

There is another version of the composition "My City". The use of boxes and colored paper allows you to create imitations of both multi-storey buildings and monuments, and even private houses. The territory of the city and its suburbs is designated using green (grassy) Whatman paper. Blue paint will help to show a lake or river.

We must not forget about gray asphalt paths, paths trodden in different directions or footpaths.

Each house is made from a pair of blanks. After painting and drying, one workpiece is inserted into another - this is how stability is maintained. Private houses are imitated by squares with a side of 80 mm. It is best if they are made of brown paper. The higher the desired private houses, the more "logs", that is, brown tubes, will have to be put on them.

The roof is made last. Installation of its parts is carried out on PVA glue. Usually they strive to achieve the feeling of a thatched roof. But you can also create an even top in some cases - the more varied the houses, the better, they carry out the steles, the Eternal Lights, the remarkable monuments of their city separately. It is very good if the sketchy craft is supplemented with inscriptions on the theme of the holiday or placed next to a homemade poster.

There are many other ideas for festive decorations as well. For example:

  • plant compositions "autumn fantasies"
  • drawing with stylized houses;
  • coat of arms made by facing.
