Often people are asked to bring a craft for an exhibition on an autumn theme to school or kindergarten. A ladybug figurine is perfect for such an exhibition. How and from what this insect can be made will be discussed in the article.

How to make from paper?

Making a voluminous craft in the form of a ladybug with your own hands from paper is not difficult. Even a child can cope with this task without resorting to the help of adults.

For work you will need:

  • a sheet of red paper;

  • black cardboard;

  • plastic eyes;

  • scissors;

  • PVA glue;

  • simple pencil;

  • compass.

Having prepared everything you need, you can start creating an autumn craft.

So, first, with the help of a compass, you need to draw, and then cut out 13 circles of the same diameter. In this case, one of the circles should be black, and all the others should be red.

In the same way, you need to cut out small circles from black cardboard - these will be spots on the insect's body. Their number depends only on your desire.

You also need to cut out the legs and head of a ladybug from black cardboard.

Now we take the red circles and begin to fold them in half, two times, while both parts need to be glued together so that you get a shape that resembles a sweep of a cone. Please note that the insect's shell will have to open, and therefore it is not necessary to glue the part completely, it is enough just to grease with glue along the edge part.

After that, all the red parts must be glued to each other. This is a rather painstaking work, since the parts need to be glued according to a certain scheme: the wide part of the part should be located on one side, and the narrow part on the other. In this case, the glue must be applied only one part of the part.

Let the glue dry a little, and then pull a little on the edges of the part so that it opens. Fold the edges of the part together and glue it together. At the same time, make sure that no empty spaces are formed, otherwise the craft will not turn out very beautiful. After that we attach black spots to the shell. Almost ready!

Now we start forming the ladybug's body. To do this, glue the already cut thin black stripes and the head to the black mug. We attach the shell and plastic eyes to the insect's body.

If there are no plastic eyes, they can be cut out of white and black paper.

Ready! If you wish, you can tuck the insect's legs a little to make it look more realistic.

There is another, simplified option for creating such a paper craft. To do this, you will need the same materials.

So, first you need to print the templates and prepare the necessary details with them. The first two templates are the body and legs of the insect, they are made of cardboard. All other parts are made of colored paper.

Having cut out the details, we begin to work with them. We take the part for the body and make the folds, which are marked on the template with a dotted line, so that this part becomes stable. To this part, on both sides, we attach a shell made of paper, on which we pre-cut the circles.

Almost ready! It remains to attach the legs to the lower part of the insect, as well as glue the antennae and eyes.

Made from natural materials

It will not be difficult for children to make a ladybug from natural materials.

For example, you can make this insect out of rounded stones and acrylic paint. Such a craft will not take much time. It will be enough to cover the stone with red paint, let it dry, and then paint the face and spots with black paint. Thus, you can make a whole composition in the form of a family of these insects.

Ladybugs can also be made from fall foliage. To do this, you need a piece of red color and paint, with which you will depict the specks and the muzzle of an insect. Even a preschool child can independently cope with such a craft.

Plasticine options

You can also mold a ladybug from plasticine. Work on such a craft also does not take much time.

For crafts you will need:

  • plasticine in red, black and white;

  • modeling board;

  • napkins;

  • plastic stack.

First of all, we cut off a large piece from the red plasticine and roll a ball out of it. We flatten it a little so that this part gains stability. Thus, an insect shell is obtained. We sculpt small balls from black plasticine, flatten them and attach them to the shell to make specks. Separately, we roll a thin sausage of the same color and lay it approximately in the middle, thereby separating one wing of the insect from the other.

Now we make the face of a ladybug from the same black plasticine. To do this, we also roll a black ball, but already of a smaller size, and pull it out a little, flattening it, and then attach it to the shell. With the help of a stack, outline the location of the insect's eyes and its mouth.

The last step remains - the formation of the peephole. We make them from white and black plasticine.

Ready! If you wish, you can separately mold a leaf or flower from colored plasticine and plant an insect there, so that in this way you get a small composition.

More ideas

There are many options for creating ladybug crafts. So, one of these can be made from tomatoes, olives and cheese. If desired, you can use other products: for example, fish, bread, mayonnaise, lettuce, and more. Such a craft will become not only an interesting table decoration, but also a delicious treat.

Ladybugs can also be made from ordinary plastic bottle caps. In addition to the main material, you will need a black marker, plastic eyes, glue and a little imagination.Thus, you can make a whole composition in the form of a family of ladybugs.

Salted dough is also a suitable material for this kind of craft. This is a rather painstaking, but interesting work, which in the end will look quite interesting.

Felt is also suitable for creating such crafts. You just need to purchase the necessary material and use the template.
