Peacock crafts
Children love to create interesting crafts with their own hands. Particular enthusiasm is caused by original products that others do not have. In this article, we will look at several master classes on making a peacock figurine.
How to make a peacock out of paper?
An excellent craft for schoolchildren will be the colored paper option. This workshop will help develop your child's fine motor skills and improve their scissors skills. You will need:
- glue stick;
- scissors;
- blue cardboard;
- white cardboard;
- colored paper.
The whole craft will stick to white cardboard. First you need to make a tail. As you know, peacocks have a lush and bright tail that attracts admiring glances. To recreate it, it is recommended that you use as many paper colors as possible. The kids will have enough green, yellow, orange, blue and pink shades.
Cut the sheets in half and divide into thin strips. Fold each one over without bending the seam, and glue the ends together. Do the same for each strip. Feathers are obtained, pink is better to be made shorter. Begin to glue each feather in turn, superimposing one color on top of another. You should get a voluminous and fluffy tail.
Let's take care of the torso. Draw an oval on the blue cardboard and a circle on top of it. Carefully cut out the shape with scissors. Cut a rhombus out of yellow paper and fold it in half, draw a tongue inside - this will be a beak. A small oval should be cut out of purple paper, which will become the abdomen. Stick everything in its place, and draw eyes with eyelashes with a felt-tip pen.
On the reverse side, generously grease the body with glue and apply to the middle of the tail. It turns out an original craft that will delight anyone.
For older children of kindergarten age, an easier option is suitable. You will need:
- turquoise paper;
- felt-tip pens;
- glue;
- scissors;
- colored cardboard.
Fold the blue cardboard in half and glue. Draw the head, neck and torso of the peacock. Cut out the drawing carefully and draw the eyes with black marker. Cut the wings out of green cardboard, glue on both sides, and set the torso aside to dry. In the meantime, let's make a fluffy tail. Take a piece of turquoise paper and begin folding it like an accordion until you reach the end. Use felt-tip pens to finish the “eyes” on the tail. Connect the two pieces together with PVA glue. It turns out a beautiful craft that will take its rightful place on the shelf in the classroom.
How to make with a bushing?
A peacock craft can be made using the most extraordinary materials, for example, toilet paper rolls. For this option you will need:
- sleeve;
- dye;
- colored cardboard;
- colored paper;
- scissors;
- glue.
Paint the sleeve purple and leave to dry. Cut out a lush tail with feathers from purple cardboard. Decorate each piece with leaves cut out of colored paper, and place circles around the edge.
Bend the dried sleeve inward on one side, and glue the paws on the other. Complete the product with eyes and a cut out yellow paper nose. Connect both parts with glue. The craft is ready.
In this case, collective work is assumed. Have each child in the group bring a sleeve and have the teacher cut out the torso.
Will be needed for work as well:
- colored cardboard;
- paints or markers;
- glue;
- scissors.
Give each child one sleeve. They need to be colored with felt-tip pens, cut into three pieces and pressed lightly to give them a sheet-like shape. Begin glueing the sleeves together as shown in the picture until all the pieces are assembled together. Get busy with a peacock. Cut out the torso, neck and head from light green cardboard.
Glue the orange beak, legs and green wing. Glue the components together and enjoy the result.
How to mold from plasticine?
A conceited bird can be molded from plasticine. Next, we will present a master class that will help you to make a peacock in stages. For it you will need:
- plasticine in green, blue, purple, orange and pink shades;
- stack;
- modeling board.
- To begin with, you should take care of the torso. Roll a thick oval, flatten it on one side to form a tail, and on the other, pull it into a long neck. Attach a small blue circle to the neck, remember that the peacock's head is much smaller than the body. Mark the place of the eyes with white round layers, on top of which thin black stripes and a small white dot should be glued. Make a small cone out of orange plasticine and attach it in front.
- Each peacock has a small crest on its head. It can be crafted from five small black stripes with a blue ball at the end. Tie all the strips together and place them on top of your head. Make leaves-shaped wings, make notches on them using a stack. Attach to the torso.
- It remains to make a tail. The peacock has a luxurious, lush tail, which delights those around. To begin with, roll six drop-shaped feathers from the light green mass, and then three more from the green, only smaller. Glue three round cakes of different sizes and colors to the top of the feathers. To create a more believable texture, make thin notches using a stack. It remains only to connect all the feathers with a sharp end in two layers. Attach the tail to the back of the torso.
- Roll up many small green balls and stick them on the back of the peacock, press on each with a match. To make our figurine stable, we will make a stand. Blind a large circle and flatten it on one side. Decorate the stand with beads, beads or other decorative items.Insert a match into the middle, on which the peacock will be placed.
Autumn Craft Ideas
Autumn provides us with a huge amount of materials, thanks to which we can make a lot of interesting crafts with our own hands. Consider a simple way to make a peacock in autumn. You will need:
- glue;
- Maple leaves;
- white Whatman paper;
- paints;
- brushes.
To begin with, the head and body of a bird are drawn on whatman paper. If you are not confident in your abilities, then draw with a pencil, and then paint with paints. Don't forget about the crest on your head. For the tail, collect large maple leaves, rinse and dry. Begin gluing one by one until you get a fluffy ponytail.
For volume, you can add twigs with leaves from other trees.
