The advantage of polyester is the addition of natural ingredients. By itself, synthetic fiber is practically not found. Usually cotton, viscose and elastane fibers are added to polyester. As a result of this "interaction" it is possible to obtain a wear-resistant, strong, elastic and at the same time pleasant tactile and visual fabric. Its advantages are considered to be tensile strength, durability and ease of maintenance.

If the fabric is pure polyester, it has many similarities to natural silk. But in its pure form, polyester is toxic, and therefore manufacturers dilute synthetics with natural additives. The resulting microfiber is not harmful to health, and modern technologies give the blended fabric eco-friendly properties. Therefore, polyester is widely used not only for sewing sleeping sets, but also for making blankets, bedspreads and pillows. This is considered justified in order to save money.

Otherwise, the material is called rayon. Visually, it is virtually indistinguishable from expensive silk sheets: smooth iridescent surface, lightness and softness, pleasant to the touch. At the same time, the material with artificial additives due to viscose allows air and water to pass through. Polyviscose even takes longer to heat up than real silk. In the summer, this is only a plus for him.
