The assortment of bed linen in the modern domestic market has expanded due to European standards. And the design of bedding is more and more striking in its variety.

The first thing the user encounters when choosing is matter. Popular and practical types of fabrics for bedding include the following: satin, calico, poplin and jacquard. Their properties are as follows.

Satin accessories - premium class: the appearance attracts with bright colors and gloss that does not disappear after repeated washing over several years. Satin is difficult to grind with constant use: replaceable satin things serve flawlessly.

Calico is more delicate. Suitable for couples in love to bring romance to a relationship: the texture enveloping the body and original design will help you relax and fall asleep faster. But the linen itself - with rare exceptions - was completely natural, without polyester and amide fibers.

Standard sets for a double bed are a 220x240 sheet, a 220x200 duvet cover and two 50x70 pillowcases. The duvet covers fit into the European standard, and the pillowcases come from the recent past. The bedroom set is fully laid out, the folds are straightened into a flat fabric.

If we go even further, it turns out that our manufacturers have developed Russian European standards, which are noticeably different from European ones, taking the best of Soviet GOSTs with them to the present and future. Linen is produced mainly for single and double beds, without allocation for one-and-a-half beds in a separate format.

The European standards, which have taken root in Russia, have another subspecies - "very large euro". It is chosen by users who prefer spaciousness in everything related to bedrooms and living rooms. The bed sheet can be up to 2.6 * 2.8 m, the duvet cover is up to 2.2 * 2.4, the pillowcase is 70 * 70 cm (square pillow). This is the king-size, accepted by Europeans as the largest.

But if everything is clear to the user with the purchase of sizes, then the last, no less important question is washing while maintaining the further operability of the washing machine.
