How to make fine little curls?

Curly hair inherited from ancestors is truly a gift from God. They are extraordinary, obstinate, curl in different directions, do not lend themselves well to styling, and are difficult to comb. Despite all the difficulties, for many centuries women with straight hair twisted curls of different shapes, in accordance with the fashion of their time. And the XXI century, too, has not spared the fashion for curls of various styles, from small afros for short hair to large Hollywood ones for long and medium ones. Curls are not for everyone - they give significant volume and decorate not every face oval.

Small curls are a great option for tall, slender young ladies with a thin face and thin features, with naughty curls from nature, with long or medium hair lengths. A well-chosen styling will help to turn thin hair into a luxurious mane, which will keep the styling until the next wash.

Curls will categorically not adorn persons with a round face and large features. They will visually expand the oval by increasing it. Curls up to the shoulder blades and above are suitable for small growth - a voluminous hairstyle will ruin the miniature proportions. The owner of this hairstyle will look thicker and shorter.

Short curls adorn oval and diamond-shaped faces. Poorly combined with square and round. They focus on the forehead and ears, not reaching the chin and neck, thereby visually making the upper part heavier.

The triangular shape is ideal for wavy hair.

The curls will be at least three centimeters long so that the hair can be wrapped around your finger. You can create curls at home in different ways.

You can curl your curls by braiding your braids. This is the most gentle method that has worked since the days when there were no modern devices. The process of curling like this is pretty simple.

1. Wash your hair with warm water using a mask or balm. Hair will become manageable. Comb thoroughly to remove any lumps.
2. We select strands from clean, damp, or better wet hair.
3. We braid tight braids, and fix them with ribbons. We grab the ends with elastic bands. For a stronger hold onto dried braids, spray with hair foam. The thinner the strands, the smaller the curls, and the more curls.
4. Keep for at least three hours, and preferably all night.
5. When untwisting with your fingers without using a comb, do not push the spirals. If the hairs from them are bristling, treat with varnish or gel.
6. If you comb the braids unbraided into curls, the volume of the hairstyle will increase and create a halo of curly strands, like a lion's mane.

The disadvantages of this method are the waiting time; if weaving constantly, tight braids will increase hair breakage. With restless sleep, the pigtails will loosen. Not suitable for short-cropped curls.

When forming curls not from the roots, collect wet hair in a high tail and braid spikelets.

1. Apply a fixing foam to damp hair.

The cone curler is easy to use. For small waves, choose a diameter of 1.3-2 centimeters. There are nozzles on them of different diameters for different textures of curls:

1. 18-20 millimeters - small retro curls are obtained;
2. 13-15 millimeters - curly-haired women, similar to natural ones;
3. 10 millimeters - a fluffy ball of small curls, suitable for short strands.

A thermal protective composition is applied to clean, dried hair. We divide the hair into sectors. We begin to curl from the back of the head, keeping the lock for 10 seconds. Gently pull the device out of the curl without breaking the spiral.

Curling iron has the same workflow. It is versatile for any length of shock. Stepping back a little from the roots, grab the strands and, rotating the device, slide along the curl without pressing hard on it. We get a uniform curl. When using a corrugation nozzle, we get a small wave, compressed fragment-wise, along the entire length. The look of curls looks like a neat result of the penultimate stage of straightening the curl.

After processing the entire head, gut the curls a little, sprinkling with varnish to fix. Especially topical in wet and rainy weather.

You can model curls without a curling iron, using the items at hand.

There are no curling devices at hand, but there are devices for pinning hair - we make spirals with them. We comb the washed and dried hair well, lubricate it with a fixative. We wind a thin strand on the hairpin in a zigzag, and pin the resulting structure to the root area. The thinner the strands, the less curls. We start the wrapping from the bottom layers of the head, and go up.

We withstand 2 hours, better longer. After unwinding, we straighten the spirals with our hands to give an elegant casualness.

An old way to get small curls is curling on papillotes (as the French call a small tourniquet made of fabric or paper). We take a flap and cut it into narrow ribbons, about 5-6 centimeters in length. We wet it and wring it out. We fix the end of the strand with a fabric knot and wind it, like on curlers, we fix the resulting knot at the roots with a bow so that it can be easily removed. We spin dry curly girls.

There is no suitable fabric, we take culinary foil, cut into strips 2.5-3 centimeters wide and equal to the length of the hair. Fold the paper in half along the length with an accordion. Fasten at the roots by bending the foil. We wrap the damp future curl around the sides of the foil, lacing them very tightly. We fix it at the end with rubber bands, clips or threads. We hold until the strands are completely dry. We take out the foil, construct curls with our hands.

There is nothing at all at hand - there is a way out. We take a strong thread. Its section, folded in half, is slightly longer than the hair. We tie the middle of the thread at the base of the future curl and twist it into a tourniquet. Gradually, a spiral is formed along the length of the curl, which is collected in a bun on the head. Fasten by wrapping the ends of the thread. Such buns are done all over the head.

Suitable more for short and medium heaps. On long ones - they look sloppy. Kucheryashki are voluminous.

A completely creative approach - spirals using a pencil, cocktail straws, chopsticks for Asian food. Allows you to twist the spirals onto any cylinder or cone... Slightly dried strands, lubricate with styling compounds. We wrap it around the object and iron it with tongs.

We use the tube according to the pencil script. Bend the tip and twist the curl tightly around it. We bend the bottom a couple of centimeters higher and secure with a hairpin. We leave for 2-3 hours or overnight. But it's uncomfortable to sleep with tubes on your head.

It is easy to wind curls with your own hands. We separate thin strands from the mop, apply foam or gel to fix it. Twist by 1, 2, or 3 fingers, which form the size of the curls. Carefully remove the finger from the curl and fix it with a clip. Very suitable for short hair.

A casual hairstyle done with an elastic band is quite popular. We moisten the hair, collect it with a tourniquet, fix it with an elastic band and wait for it to dry. The resulting careless, perfect waves are fixed with varnish.

You can quickly wind up light, careless, large curls a hair diffuser or a hairdryer.

The foam or mousse applied to clean hair is divided into equal bunches. We put our head down and put one at a time in a round nozzle with fingers. Dry by removing and bringing it closer to the head. We do this with all the shock. It is advisable to strengthen the resulting curls with varnish.

Instead of a diffuser, we use a round comb. We wind a curl on the brushing along the entire length of the curl and dry it using a nozzle - an air supply concentrator.

A hairdryer with a rotating round brush, which curls the curl while drying it out, makes it all the easier. We put a curl on the brush and dry it first with hot, then cold air. We remove the curl with our hands, in the absence of automatic rotation. Large curls are obtained.

A lot of varnishes, foams, mousses, sprays help to save the created creation.

Hair with a fine structure is strengthened with foam of different fixation in any style, and curls are no exception. It contains polymers that make your curls elastic without sticking them together.

1. Apply lather evenly to damp hair with your hands. Optionally dry and style them with a hairdryer, or let them dry naturally by shaping the waves with your hands. Or you can twist them wet into a tourniquet, forming careless curls.
2. Apply the foam to the comb and gently comb through the damp mop. Dry hair by curling it with curlers or in any other way.

For oily scalp, it is better to use a spray that does not grease the hair. It retains the most intricate styling:

1. having simulated the desired image, we spray spray or varnish from a distance of 20 centimeters;
2. to form wavy hair, first apply varnish, then make curls.

Beeswax with mineral additives helps to cope with the thick mop. It will add shine and fix styling.

It is applied to dried strands, warming up between the palms, distributing it along the length. Regular use solves the problem of split ends.
