Case for pads
Sanitary napkin cases are very popular. They not only protect hygiene products from dirt and dust, but also allow them to be hidden delicately.
Advantages and disadvantages
Many women carry sanitary pads with them. So that they do not get dirty and do not flutter, you have to hide them in the pockets of your bag, which is not always convenient, since there are often keys and various trifles. In such cases, a special case for gaskets helps out, made in the form of a box or a small wallet.
They are inexpensive, depending on the material and brand. You can purchase it completely free of charge. Many manufacturers of hygiene products produce gift cases complete with pads packaging.
The organizer allows you not only to keep your hygiene products clean, but also to keep your purse tidy. It is especially convenient for panty liners, which often do not have individual protective packaging. To fit the daily into the case, it is folded in half. In addition, such a "wallet" is more convenient to take with you to the restroom, and not to lug the entire bag. It will not embarrass others and the hostess if it unexpectedly falls out, since no one will know what is stored there.
As a disadvantage, it is possible to note the small size. The case usually contains two spacers. It all depends on the thickness of the hygiene product and the capacity of the organizer. A fabric cover can fit more than a metal one.
On the other hand, they usually do not take any more, since there is no need to carry all the packaging with you.
What happens?
Spacer organizers are often categorized by material of manufacture. Despite the square shape, they are also suitable for panty liners when folded in half. Usually use:
- metal;
- leatherette;
- the cloth.
The metal cases look like a flat square box with rounded edges. It is covered with enamel and has a beautiful, sometimes even embossed, pattern. It closes tightly enough, it is not always convenient to open. Ladies with a long manicure can experience difficulties, especially if the case opens tightly. It happens, and vice versa, the lid is too large, and the cover does not close at all. It is better to get rid of such an organizer right away. In addition, the tin container rattles violently, beats against the phone or keys. But of all the cases, the cheapest and lightest in weight.
Leatherette organizer often looks like a small purse or cosmetic bag. Different models can have either one pocket or several, including a compartment for tampons. In terms of cost, this is the most expensive case, but it also looks more attractive. In addition, it is devoid of those drawbacks that a metal container has, namely, it is soft and does not rattle.
Against this background, the fabric organizer acts as the golden mean for storing sanitary napkins. It is made in the form of a pocket with a zipper, with a button or Velcro fastener. It can be more voluminous and resemble a small cosmetic bag. Often has only one branch. It also does not rattle, looks aesthetically pleasing and budget-priced.
How to do it yourself?
The easiest way to make a case with your own hands is to sew a fabric pocket... You can use almost any relatively thick material, such as old jeans or burlap. If the fabric is too thin and soft, the pads can easily wrinkle, which is especially unpleasant for daily hygiene products. In order not to bother with processing the edges, it is better to choose a non-flowing material, you can even use felt.
For work you will need:
- the cloth;
- threads;
- scissors;
- ruler;
- pencil or crayon;
- zipper or button.
Cut out two 15 cm wide squares from the fabric. Fold them right side up. Sew on 3 sides with 1 cm leave. Overcast edges if necessary. You can sew either manually or using a sewing machine.
Turn out. Sew in a zipper. If not, you can use a button. To do this, you first need to process the edge. Tuck the fabric inward by 1 cm. If the fabric is too loose, fold it twice. Then stitch with thread.
You can make another decorative floss over the seam.
Sew a button on one side in the middle. On the other hand, make a loop symmetrically from threads or from a thin ribbon. Select the length in such a way that it wraps around the button and reliably holds the contents of the pocket.
Alternatively, you can make one side of the rectangle longer to form an envelope. In this case, you should use a button or Velcro for fastening.
Decorate if desired. For example, sew on beads, ribbon bows, sequins. Be careful with an abundance of volumetric decor, as it can cling to other items in a handbag.
Rectangular lollipop cans can be used as a metal container. If such a case is taken out of the bag, then no one will guess about its real contents.
