The best springs of Crimea
Since ancient times, natural sources have been considered curative, in ancient times they were used as a medicine and prevention of many diseases. In modern society, their healing properties have been scientifically proven. Sanatoriums and health centers are located next to them.
Crimea is very popular: magnificent nature and long beaches attract travelers and tourists. Despite the large number of natural thermal waters located on the territory of the peninsula, they are not yet very popular. Many of them are located outside the resort areas, so only local residents know about the location of the healing waters.
Geothermal springs of Crimea
The healing springs of Crimea were discovered back in the days of the USSR, but only now they are gaining popularity among the local population and tourists.
- One such forgotten source is near the village of Nizinnoe... Near this village there is an interesting structure made of shell rock, where there is a spring, the temperature of which reaches almost 60 degrees Celsius. Its check showed a greater amount of minerals and nutrients than in the Sahak spring, the most popular in Crimea. Despite the fact that the source does not meet the standards of table water, local people drink this water without filtering, extolling its healing properties. Advises to use it for sore throat, lung disease or bowel problems.
Local residents built a bathhouse next to the geothermal spring, which is now popular with the residents of Crimea.
Of the minuses, a pungent smell of hydrogen sulfide and a corresponding taste in water are often noted.
- Hot spring in Ilyinka was identified by drilling in search of warm energy in the 80s of the last century. The source is located at a depth of 1100 meters, furnished with limestone (a material often used in Crimea almost on a par with shell rock). The soil around the source has a rusty color, which is the result of evaporation. The water temperature is hot - 60 degrees, but there is no hydrogen sulfide in the water, but there is sodium chloride. The source is full of various metals and gases and is considered useful in the treatment of osteochondrosis and rheumatism.
- Spring in Shchebetovo. This place with a warm geothermal spring is called "Vodyanaya Balka", and the water temperature here reaches 22 degrees, you can go there by your own transport, but because of the unevenness on the road, it is advisable to give preference to off-road vehicles or to walk. The trail leading to the healing water filled with calcium is an ascent of beautiful steps covered with moss and a thin layer of water from a never-ending spring.
- Village Novaya Zhizn located near Dzhankoy, few people know about the hot spring here, the temperature reaches 45 degrees, the water is filled with useful salts and iodine. For convenience, the source is equipped with a pool with a pipe. Visiting this place is free, the advantage is the lack of tourists, and the disadvantage is the poor infrastructure. But the pool in this village can be used by tourists who cannot even swim, due to the high concentration of salts it is impossible to drown in this water.
- On the Arbat Spit. This is the hottest thermal pool in Crimea. The temperature in the spring where you can swim can go up to 80 degrees Celsius. It is very useful for problems with blood vessels and nerves, full of alkalis, sodium, radon. Swimming is not recommended for children under 6 years old, as well as being in the thermal pool for more than 15 minutes. People with heart disease should be careful. The most surprising thing is that most of the visitors are in the summer season, but there are practically no people who want to bask in hot water in autumn and winter.
Mineral springs
Mineral water is called water, which has biologically active properties, salts in dissolved form, various trace elements. Most often, such water is used for drinking purposes, but external use is also popular. Here are some of the mineral springs of the Crimea.
- Pyatikhatka. The water in the spring has unique beneficial properties, which scientists compare with the sources of well-known sanatoriums. It is used as a diuretic and choleretic drug, it removes heavy salts, metals and radionuclides. There is a large factory that produces mineral water near the spring; tourists can buy bottles of mineral water called "Bishuli" on the spot.
- Mineral spring in Saki It is called the Saki pump room, access to it is open, anyone can drink water, there are statues created in 1932 next to the spring and near the pond.

- The village of Aivazovskoe. The source is described as a spring containing sodium, bicarbonate, chloride, magnesium and calcium. Local residents use water for agricultural and domestic purposes. Around the springs, of which there are a lot in this area, there are legends and traditions associated with their healing qualities. Unfortunately, most of them are now abandoned and forgotten.
- Feodosia. The city is developed with its own infrastructure and is famous for its sanatoriums. It owes such a high rating to mineral springs, which are similar in usefulness to Essentuki. They were found in search of water for irrigation of vineyards, at a depth of 60 meters, after analysis they were awarded the properties of mineral waters. Salty-tasting water helps with vascular and heart diseases. Also in Feodosia you can find other mineral springs - hydrogen sulfide, in which methane was also found.
Such a concentration of minerals, metals and salts can help with diseases of the liver, biliary tract, gout and chronic colitis.
In the old days, beer was made from water, which was distinguished by a special pleasant taste and had no smell.
- Kokkozskaya valley. A spring called Aji-Su or Black Waters is a very popular place. The liquid comes out from 3 holes, 2 of which give off bitter water, and the third is fresh. The water in these springs contains bromine with some content of iodine, iron, scurvy and manganese. The point was opened in 1955, after a certain amount of time, a health resort with bathing places was built next to the source. Currently, the water is used by a large sanatorium, it is useful in the treatment of osteochondrosis, skin diseases and muscle pain.
- Yalta. There are 2 sources in Yalta, opened in 2004 and 2007. They are located in parks, anyone can pour water or just take a walk in a cozy park and sit in the shade of trees.

This is the territory of the reserve, and the monastery itself is located at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level. The source is called Savlukh-Su. According to legend, the saints cured people with the help of water, speaking it with prayers. Later, scientists found out the composition of the spring, and it turned out to be rich in silver and zinc ions.
