Choosing a school backpack for children 10 years old

Where does school start? This question is asked by many parents, whose children aspire to their first grade on September 1. Before this event, parents carefully and long time collect the necessary supplies for the child - clothes, notebooks, textbooks, paints and, of course, a satchel. But over time, textbooks get thicker, and the needs are more and more. At this moment, a new question arises before the parents, where to put all the school paraphernalia so as not to harm the child. After all, the knapsack, which the child wore a year ago, is becoming "unfashionable", if you believe the children's sayings. Here a good old backpack comes to the aid of parents.

First, let's take a look at how the knapsack and backpack differ from each other.

A knapsack is a device with wide straps, into the back of which a rigid frame is inserted that supports the child's posture and back. Thanks to their structure, the satchels help not to deform the back from the heavy daily load on the shoulders.

A bag is considered a backpack, which is also worn on the shoulders, but its straps are narrower than that of a knapsack. A rigid frame in a backpack is not common. And the backpack itself is often much softer than the satchel. Older children use the backpack not only as a bag for carrying school supplies, but also as a fashion accessory.

But we will concentrate on modern schoolchildren from 10 years old. It was at this time that the child himself asks his parents for something more adult in order to keep up with their peers.

In absolutely any store in the mall and in almost any tent on the market, you can find at least several different models of backpacks. Moreover, now this trend is at the peak of its popularity. Therefore, children about ten years old, having seen enough on the Internet, on TV and at high school students' fashion novelties, begin to want the same. Of course, there are so-called unisex backpacks. They are perfect for both girls and boys. But still, we will not unite, but will tell about the boys and girls separately.

A girl, regardless of her age, always wants to be perfect. And even when choosing such a necessity as a backpack, most often no one pays attention to convenience. The task of the parents is to direct the child in the right direction and try to buy exactly the thing that will be optimal in appearance and convenience.

Among children and adolescents, the most trendy is a backpack with an image or in the form of an animal's muzzle. Most often, the best colors are calm, discreet, among young people called "mimic", such as soft turquoise, soft pink, soft lilac and others. The most popular animal is the cat.

Backpacks with sequins that change their color or pattern if you run your hand over them are the second most popular ones when we talk about children whose age is leaving the status of elementary school. Here the colors are no longer as important as the number of these same sequins. They can only cover the front pocket of the backpack, completely cover the entire front part and be on the backpack from all sides. The third option is rare, and definitely not suitable for schoolchildren, since such a backpack is convenient to carry only in hand.

And, of course, the third place rightfully belongs to backpacks of a classic look, but of interesting colors or having an unusual "trick" on them. This can be a plain backpack with a bright front pocket, a backpack with a small repeating print, or simply unusual key rings attached to a zipper.

If girls carefully choose tender or daring colors for themselves, then with boys everything is different. It would also be possible to divide their choice by points, but this is not necessary. Boys love computer games, cars, superheroes and football. Of course, this does not mean at all that boys have no other hobbies. But among the main ones, these are the ones that stand out.

The color scheme is in most cases dark, and against this background the image of a favorite hero, a football club or a still frame from a film flaunts. These backpacks look rough, and the straps are wide.

In any case, any backpack bought for a schoolchild or teenager should be functional, have a positive effect on the back and, of course, please the owner.

Convenience is the main criterion. The backpack shouldn't be as hard as the satchel was. But if, nevertheless, there is a frame of medium rigidity in the back, then this will not be superfluous.

The weight of a backpack without filling should not exceed 1.5 kilograms. Otherwise, textbooks, physical education, writing materials, and even the weight of the backpack itself will be piled on the child's shoulders. And for a small child it is dangerous.

An important criterion is the number of pockets. Textbooks and notebooks are put in the main pocket. A medium-sized pocket may contain an exercise kit. In a smaller pocket - IZO accessories and a pencil case.

A special mesh compartment for storing a bottle of water will be useful in a backpack. The presence of this compartment has a huge plus, since a leaky closed bottle will not spill on textbooks and notebooks.

The older the child, the more interests and habits he has.In the fourth grade, children love to listen to different music and share new products with each other. For so as not to confuse the wires once again and not to reach the player or phone with music, the designers came up with a special hole for the headphones.
