The creation of the first scooter model dates back to 1761... This light vehicle was invented in Germany by Michael Kassler. There is another version of the appearance of this device, stating that the inventor of the scooter was Karl von Drez. Charles invented this form of transport in 1817, and in 1820 modified the design by making the wheel in the front part steerable. Such types of devices have won immense popularity and widespread use in France and England.

In 1819, the inventor from England Denis Johnson patented an improved model of the scooter, developed 2 years earlier by Karl Drez. The new frame was made of wood, just like the wheels.
