The company he founded was named after its founder, Hudson Overall. Thanks to the talent and hard work of an ambitious guy, already in 1919 he opened the first factory for the production of outer workwear. In the same year, the company was renamed to Blue Bell, which translates as "blue bell".
This name was not chosen by chance. According to legend, the uniforms produced by Hudson were of such excellent quality that the workers, as a sign of respect and gratitude, presented the owner with a large bell, which, in turn, hung in his factory building. According to legend, after a while the bell was covered with blue dust from production and acquired a bright blue hue.
Hudson began production with denim pants, similar to another company, Levi's. But after discovering that this fabric shrinks a lot after washing, Hudson developed his own unique processing system, thanks to which it turned out to bring the percentage of shrinkage to only 1%. Therefore, jeans have become insanely popular with cowboys. And in 1943 it was decided to rename the company to Wrangler, which meant "wild, unrestrained" and after some changes and adjustments to produce special jeans for cowboys.
New products exploded the market not only in the USA, but also in Europe. Therefore, in order to complement the collection of denim clothing, the manufacturers decided to open a line for the production of the same stylish shoes.
