Surely everyone remembers how our grandmothers and grandfathers treated and treat porcelain with special trepidation. They thoroughly wiped the hand-painted teapots, cups and saucers every week. If at that time it seemed stupid to the young rising generation, today their opinion has changed radically, since any porcelain products made during the Soviet Union and earlier today are antiques - an expensive and valuable product that many families inherit from generation after generation. Someone had a porcelain set belonging to a foreign production, but most had a Dulevo set in the sideboard, which is an exclusively Russian project.

Peculiarities

Before you understand the peculiarities of Dulevo porcelain, you should familiarize yourself a little with the history of the formation of the production itself. The founder of the porcelain factory in Dulyovo is Terenty Kuznetsov, a native of Gzhel, where the art of ceramics was highly respected. Little was known about porcelain in the area. It was this fact that made Terenty go deeper into the study of porcelain art. And already in 1832 Terenty Kuznetsov was the owner of a small production with local craftsmen.

The peak of the heyday of the production of the porcelain factory in Dulevo fell on the reign of Matvey Kuznetsov, the grandson of Terenty. At the same time, the policy of the enterprise changed slightly, or rather, several main directions of production were established.

  • People's. In simple words, these are the beloved eagles. Relatively cheap kits that anyone can buy.
  • Aristocratic. In the manufacture of such sets, delights taken from European standards were used. A prerequisite is the presence of Russian symbols, classic lines and gilded frames.

After the collapse of the USSR, the plant fell into decay. Yes, the labor collective of the enterprise found it necessary to privatize the production department. However, this was unsuccessful. In 2000, it was decided to sell the plant to businessmen who can find a way out of the economic crisis.

In 2012, the company acquired a new owner. Then the plant began a new stage of development. The new owner has modernized the production. Thanks to the human contribution, the modern Dulevo plant is the largest specialized enterprise, whose products are sold throughout Russia and in the CIS countries. Also, deliveries are made to the territory of the USA, Canada, Norway and other European countries.

Many are interested in what is the secret of the success of Dulev sets. This is the high strength of the products, they are not inferior to ceramic objects, respectively, in order to spoil the plate, considerable force must be applied.

As the main raw material for the manufacture of porcelain, the craftsmen who worked during the reign of the Kuznetsovs used plastic clay and peat, which was collected only until July 20, so that it had time to dry out.

From the first day of the organization of porcelain production at the factory, new technologies were constantly introduced, a new design of dishes was formed, each employee was given the opportunity to learn from the experience of the best foreign masters, and then transfer the knowledge gained into his work. Another important feature is the use of several painting techniques in production. For example, at the end of the 11th century, the decal technique was actively used, imitating the manual application of images.

Dinner sets

The collection of the Dulevo Porcelain Factory contains a huge variety of table sets, but such names as "Galina" and "English Garden" are very popular. For example, in the dining set "Galina" there are 29 items for 6 persons. These are 18 small plates with a circumference of 175, 200 and 240 mm, 6 deep plates, a large round and oval dish, a salad bowl, a herring bowl and, of course, a tureen for 4 liters.

The English Garden table service also consists of 29 items for 6 persons. However, it lacks a tureen. Instead, the set includes a sauce bowl designed for 400 ml. The number and dimensions of the plates are similar to the Galina set.
