Special markers for working with textiles, provided they are used correctly, can significantly simplify the creative process of any professional craftswoman or self-taught, help to significantly improve the quality of their work, as well as get rid of various problems during the application and subsequent care of the resulting markings.

Peculiarities

In handwriting, indelible markers (or more often they are called felt-tip pens for fabrics) are used very often, because this method of quick and original transformation of any garment is very popular, especially among representatives of the younger generation. Such felt-tip pens for fabric can be seen in various fields: they are also quite actively used in sewing, and you can also see them when embroidering different patterns. Markers of this kind greatly simplify the creative process, while with them, if necessary, you can noticeably designate the future place of sewing the fabric or carefully sketch out some complex indelible pattern among the existing drawings.

Depending on the thickness of the rod, using such tools, you can easily draw both a very large composition, clearly visible from a distance, and maximize the detail of a small picture.

The obvious advantages of leave-in tissue markers over other similar tools:

  • the indelible marker will not smear on the fabric regardless of its quality;
  • this kind of markers, especially if they are produced by well-known brands, guarantee juicy colors, the main thing here is to apply strokes as evenly as possible;
  • such markers dry very quickly, therefore, the T-shirt decorated with them can be put on in an hour;
  • indelible fabric markers can draw lines from 1 to 4 mm thick, which means - you can easily choose the option suitable for your drawing;
  • if you need to remove any image error before the start of the complete drying process - it can be washed with plain cold water without the use of special detergents;
  • they will not have an unpleasant odor, which will allow you to work with them non-stop throughout the day;
  • markers can easily used in conjunction with all known paints to transform the canvas;
  • indelible accessories will not only allow you to create an original thing from scratch, but they will also help to advantageously beat old and heavily stubborn stains already on clothes - such a process will allow you to create a very creative image on the spoiled place.

Those who first decided to use indelible markers should know another not very pleasant feature of them - ink can quickly soak through even a very dense fabric while drawing. In order to prevent such an effect, experts advise placing a thick sheet of cardboard under the material with which you start working, so as not to accidentally ruin the surface of the table.

Species overview

Modern craftsmen can use indelible markers very actively:

  • for additional decoration of the original embroidery - in it you can add the missing elements;
  • for patchwork decoration (beautiful sewing from multi-colored pieces of fabric) - additional images can also be drawn on the patches;
  • for applying original brand logos or full-fledged drawing on any type of clothing;
  • for batik (application of author's drawings on any fabric).

Types of modern permanent markers that may work:

  • for fabrics of the darkest shades;
  • for all fabrics of all kinds of light colors;
  • for the decoration of delicate types of textiles;
  • for the transformation of more compacted types of canvas;
  • opaque (when the image is applied over another marker or paints) - in this way you can even update a drawing that has faded or faded;
  • indelible markers with an unusual highlighting effect (can be fluorescent or luminescent);
  • markers with a delicate velvety surface effect;
  • markers that guarantee a three-dimensional picture.

Indelible markers are just perfect for decorating a wide variety of fabrics. And it doesn't matter at all whether they are synthetic, 100% natural or combined.

Markers of this type can be purchased in specialized stores in sets - if you have an idea to depict a multi-colored pattern on your clothes... You can also buy them one at a time - if you like monochrome images. You can easily find coloring tools of various thicknesses - this will allow you to draw different lines, which is extremely important when designing a complex drawing or graphic design. In this case, with thick felt-tip pens on the fabric, you can depict certain details of the general appearance or make a neat outline of the general image.

Markers with a thin rod can qualitatively detail any picture, thereby giving it the necessary flavor. The most popular are black and white indelible markers; in the windows of specialized stores, you can easily choose a marker of any color. Young people often opt for the brightest, almost neon or even poisonous shades.

Experienced craftswomen still prefer less flashy colors, which are great for decorating clothes for any age.

You can apply the author's original drawing or all kinds of creative inscriptions both on high-quality cotton clothes, and on jeans and linen products, which are difficult to clean.When buying such a tool for full-fledged creativity, you should very carefully consider the packaging: certain types of indelible markers are intended for specific types of material.

How to use it correctly?

An indelible marker does not always have to dry quickly after targeted application to a product. Sometimes it is also necessary to fix the resulting pattern with a well-heated iron, ironing the wrong side of the product, or use a special hair dryer. If, even with very careful work, you made some mistake, you can quickly and easily wipe it off with an ordinary kitchen sponge, slightly moistened with water, but only until the moment when the paint has already dried. After washing the product or ironing it with an iron, it will be impossible to correct the blots. Those creative products that have been painted with an indelible felt-tip pen should be washed at a fairly low temperature - about 40 degrees, without using bleaches.

Before using such instruments for the first time on fabric, it is best to first test them on a small piece or an inconspicuous part of the selected product in order to assess the possible end result in advance. It should also be remembered that, like any modern felt-tip pens, markers cannot be left uncovered for a long time - in this case, their service life will be significantly reduced.

It is very easy today to create truly exclusive handmade products - you just need to turn on your imagination and use special markers.

And you will be pleased with the thought that no one else will have similar products, because they have a truly unique pattern applied to them. The main thing is to carefully read the simple rules of their use and not to rush with such painstaking work.
