For binding, special metal rings or springs can also be used. It is customary to create a notebook cover from a special binding cardboard. To make the notebook soft, you cannot do without a fabric that is pleasant to the touch, as well as fleece or padding polyester. As a decor, a variety of buttons, beads, lace, pieces of fabric and other interesting details. In any case, the selection of materials should be carried out depending on the subject of the notebook and on who it will be intended for.

Preparation

At the stage of preparation, it is necessary to decide which and how many pages should be in the notebook.

It is important to remember that if A4 sheets are taken as the basis, then the number of pages will be 2 times more, since in this case the sheets are folded in half.

Each page can be pre-drawn. If the cover is planned to be soft, it is recommended to pre-iron the piece of fabric. It is worth immediately determining whether you need a soft lining for a notebook, how thick you want to make it.

Procedure

To create a notebook from scratch using the scrapbooking technique with your own hands, it is better to choose a ready-made master class for beginners and follow the proposed instructions step by step. Creating a simple notebook begins with the fact that the sheets are folded like a book so that they do not open.

Better to iron the fold line right away. All pages are placed under the press for a while and, after readiness, are fixed with clerical clips from above and below. Using a ruler, the borders of the spine are marked on the sheet. Its length is divided into several identical fragments, which are marked with a pencil. From the inside, you can glue the edges, and then decorate everything with pages from an old collection of notes or special scrapbooking paper with musical motives. As the main area of ​​the composition, it is recommended to use a ready-made plaster, cardboard or homemade frame, decorated with some kind of decor or covered with sparkling varnish. Unusual examples

To create a Provence style diary, you will need to select several pieces of suitable fabric, for example, in a small bluish check and with a bright floral pattern. Part of the fabric is used for the main design of the cover, and part is used to create the flower. A lace ribbon in a beautiful burgundy color will create the necessary accent.

The central part of the composition will be the image of the Eiffel Tower, made on thick cardboard or leather. A neat button with an image of an hour dial will be not only an interesting detail, but will also allow you to close the notebook from prying eyes with the help of an elastic band.
