How to make a slime from a film mask?

The dream of many children and adolescents - to find a recipe for a slime from a face mask, without lens fluid and other expensive ingredients - is quite feasible. The modern fashion for cosmetic compositions with an original consistency allows you to find all the new components for making popular decorative slime with your own hands. It is enough to study different recipes before making a slime from a purchased film mask, and then put them into practice at home.

Cleansing cosmetics for the face are increasingly made in the form of special formulations that solidify on the skin with a thin layer of a translucent substance. The elastic material can be used for other purposes as well. Making a slime from a film mask is quite simple. First you need to purchase the main ingredient. Film masks are sold both in single portions and in containers designed for several dosages.

In almost all recipes, sodium tetraborate is an additional ingredient - borax in powder form. It is recommended to wear protective rubber gloves and other precautions when handling this chemical. Borax can be purchased in electronics stores, where it is sold as a flux for soldering. In cosmetology, a compound of soda and boric acid is used to soften hard water, and also as a preservative.

You will also need clean dishes to make the slime. It is better to take a chemically neutral glass or ceramic bowl, in which it will be convenient to knead raw materials for slime.

1. Put the mask-film in the indicated volume into a prepared container.
2. Add hand cream. Combine the ingredients with a wooden or plastic spatula.
3. Introduce borax dissolved in water little by little. In this case, the slime mixture must be stirred continuously. As soon as the composition is very thick, mixing can be continued by hand, wearing gloves.
4. Knead the slime until it stops sticking to your hands and container.

The finished composition can be transferred to a storage container, covered with a lid.

However, if simple recipes do not suit you, you can use a film mask to prepare much more interesting slime options.

Instead of the classic powdery thickener at home, it is quite possible to use a gel-like laundry detergent. For 1 toy, you will need 50 ml of a film mask - it is laid out in a clean dish. Then 3-4 teaspoons of detergent are added to it in small doses. At this stage, the agent must be actively kneaded until it acquires the desired thickness and density.

A slime based on a budget film mask from the mass market can be made matte, without overflow, to the touch resembling a fluffy cloud. In addition to the main ingredient, it uses shaving foam, baking soda, boric acid and dye (you can use any shade), intended for cooking. The process of making a trendy matte slime takes time. The procedure includes several points.

1. Put 50 ml of the film mask into a clean container.
2. Squeeze out the same shaving foam in a volume approximately equal to a large tangerine or a medium apple.
3. Mix the base ingredients with a spatula or stack, add the dye. The more it is, the brighter the slime will turn out. Don't forget about safety precautions. Dyes can be absorbed into the skin of the hands - gloves must be worn.
4. Little by little add boric acid and soda powder to the future slime.

Stir the ingredients with a spatula at first. At the stage of introducing thickeners, you will already have to act manually. This is necessary to control the elasticity, so as not to add too much soda powder and boric acid. With the right approach, the mixture will soon stop sticking to your hands, acquire the desired elasticity and an attractive appearance. When stretched, the finished matte slime does not tear.

For this recipe, you can't do without lens storage solution and baking soda. A transparent mask-film in a volume for 1 application (about 50 ml) is laid out in a clean dish, leveled. A pinch of baking soda and a few drops of liquid for storing optics are added to it. After each ingredient, the composition is thoroughly mixed until it thickens. If desired, you can add a little liquid or powder shimmer, glitter to the composition.

The charcoal shade gives the slime a special mystery.With the correct selection of ingredients, the mass will stretch well, but will not break under the influence of mechanical stretching. To prepare such an unusual slime, several ingredients must be successively added to a clean container.

1. A black film mask from a cosmetic store. Enough 2 tbsp. l. mixtures.
2. Naphthyzine (nasal drops). Dispenser bottle. From the nose to the mask, add 6-7 drops of the product. The ingredients are mixed.
3. Sodium tetraborate. It is enough to gradually introduce 1 tsp. powder. This is done carefully until the composition begins to thicken strongly.

After that, the slime is kneaded with your hands until it stops sticking to them. The finished composition will be elastic, shiny, but will not stain your hands during the game.

To obtain it, 50 ml of any color film mask is combined with shaving foam in a volume like an average orange. To give the composition airiness, starch is used - 1 tsp is enough. It is introduced gradually, until complete mixing, and then little by little borax is added. The thickened substance continues to be manually refined. The finished slime does not stick to your hands, has an interesting airy structure, easily stretches and wrinkles.

After making a slime from a mask-film, you want to keep it for a long time. This can be done if you follow certain rules.

1. Keep the slime in a tightly closed container between games. An opaque glass or plastic hand cream jar will work.
2. Place in a cool dry place. Side shelves on the refrigerator door are the best choice. Freezing slimes is strictly prohibited.
3. Protect the mixture from heating. The source of danger is direct rays of the sun, heating radiators, heaters.
4. Keep away from humid environment. A bathroom for storing slime will not work.

If the slime loses its elasticity, signs of stickiness appear, it is enough to soak the artificial mucus for a short time in a pharmaceutical solution of cosmetic borax, and then knead it with your hands. When the slime dries up, it is enough to bathe in warm water, season with hand cream or cosmetic oil. Periodically, the mass is fed with a mixture of a pinch of salt and 10 ml of warm water.
