Darsi brand dog food is produced at factories using foreign technologies. The production is owned by the global company Cargill, which specializes in feed for domestic and farm animals. One of these plants is located in the town of Yelets, Lipetsk region.

Advantages and disadvantages

Like any food, the Darsi brand has a number of positive and negative qualities.

  • Dry products under the Darsi brand are produced from selected raw materials based on GOSTs in force in Russia... The food contains all the necessary vitamins and minerals, and is also rich in animal proteins. The protein composition is of high quality: the source of protein is raw meat, some amino acids of which are irreplaceable. All of these positive factors allow dogs to live as long as possible while remaining healthy.
  • The food contains prebiotics: beet cake and yeast extract. These substances increase immunity in dogs.
  • Darsi products have the optimal ratio of price and quality.
  • Pet nutrition issue resolved: the owner does not need to prepare fresh meals for the dog every day, spending a significant amount of personal time and money.

The disadvantages of dry food are as follows.

  • Dogs need a lot of water: its content in the feed is limited to 10%.
  • Dry food should be alternated with moist and natural foodif possible.
  • Unlike cats, the size of the feed pellets is selected depending on the breed of dog... Small pets are not able to swallow large pieces.

The last rule, however, does not work in the opposite direction: small pieces are easily swallowed by large, heavy dogs. The advantages of wet food are as follows.

  • If the dog was taken out of town, for example, the owners decided not to leave the dog alone at home, going on a picnic, then wet food replaces dry food in single feedings. Not every owner wants to take with them an almost full bag of dry.
  • Alternating dry food with wet food is helpful. The dog should not eat monotonously.

There are also certain disadvantages.

  • Lack of benefit. It is more profitable to buy 20 kg of dry food, for example, at a store promotion, than to bribe cans of pâté one by one every day. The difference in costs increases up to several times, moreover, buying wet food wastes the owner's personal time.
  • Wet food should not be stored for a long time. On the second day, the opened portion will be spoiled: it is no longer possible to give it to the dog.

Wet food can also help in other cases: for example, if there is no drinkable water nearby. It will partially quench the dog's thirst.

Variety of assortment

For large breeds of dogs, wet food is packaged in metal cans with a content weight of up to 850 g. For example, a product containing a beef heart (exclusively beef) also consists of the following ingredients: carrots, cereals, a vitamin and mineral complex. Crude protein 8%, crude fat 3%, crude fiber 0.2%, crude ash 3%. Calcium salts - 1.1%, phosphorus salts - 0.8%. Vitamin E - 1.5 mg, D - 1 μg, A - 0.1 mg per 100 g of product. Darsi dog food is available as a pate. The product is almost homogeneous in consistency, does not contain pieces soaked in sauce, like the products of many other manufacturers.

Darsi dry food has a slightly different composition. Imagine that 70% is evaporated from a pate, which contains 80% water, along the way adding solid (dry) ingredients. Crude protein here reaches 22%, crude fat - 8%, crude fiber - 3.5%, crude ash - 7.5%, calcium - 1.3%, phosphorus (in compounds) - 1%. Vitamin E - 50 mg per 1 kg of feed. Vitamin A - 1.89 mg, D3 - 20 mcg. The product contains: whole-grain wheat, minced veal, cereal processing, liver, animal fat, corn oil.

Vitamins are represented by the following names: A, B4, D3, E, B3, B5, B2, B1, B6, B9, B12. In addition to calcium and phosphorus, salts of potassium, zinc, iron, manganese, copper, as well as halogen-containing compounds based on iodine and selenium are used as minerals. Additional raw materials - yeast, beet cake. There is a synthetic antioxidant. The dry product is packed in bags of 2.5 and 10 kg. The line of feeds Adult, Active Dog and others are similar in composition, as they are mainly targeted at adult dogs aged 1-6 years.

Flavors, E-additives were not found in Darsi food: Cargill's factories have a zealous reputation for not disappointing consumers. If there are synthetic additives, then they are minimized. For individuals with a predisposition to food allergies, it is recommended to replace beef with chicken and turkey: the poultry meat will be less coarse.

Dry and wet products containing exclusively poultry will benefit these dogs. And for overly active pets, a product based on a bovine or bird's heart and liver is well suited.

Review overview

According to the few reviews of eyewitnesses who encountered surprises, this food May suit certain breeds of cats... But such cases are not so frequent that they become natural. Such owners play into the hands of not only the unusual behavior of dogs and cats living on the same living space, but also the significant cheapness of dog food for large breeds.

Consumers attribute Darsi products to economy class feeds, which have not lost their positive aspects.

So, dogs with allergies generally respond adequately to these products: the disease does not worsen after such feeding, but it cannot be curative.
