The advantages of such a design project are significant. For example, due to the window in the working area, the kitchen gets full daylight. But let's also say about the possible difficulties of such a layout:

• space for storage systems decreases - if in a standard situation there are all lockers above the work surface, here this place is occupied by a window;
• near the radiator, you will have to think over a competent ventilation system;
• windows will inevitably get dirty with splashes of water and grease;
• installation of lighting fixtures for the work surface is a problematic issue.

All the pluses and minuses are usually taken into account by rationalists, but if a person is fired up with the idea of ​​such a use of the window area, he will not listen to practical arguments.

But such an optimistic alignment still requires preparation.

In the daytime, there is enough light in the kitchen, but in the evening it is difficult to do without artificial lighting. You can fix one central chandelier and be limited to that. When installing, you need to take into account the distance at which the window sash opens, so as not to touch the chandelier (if the kitchen is small).

Lamps on a flexible leg are also popular today: you can direct the light in the desired direction, and the position of the lamps itself can also be changed. Finally, you can install spotlights in the window opening itself (if you place spotlights in the window frame). It is aesthetically pleasing and convenient.

In most cases, batteries are located near a window. But if the area is working, then there is most likely a headset. And it is categorically impossible to close the radiator with furniture - the heated air must circulate in the room without obstacles.

How can this problem be solved:

• install a sink near the radiator, and in the sink area there will be a body with lattice doors - that is, only the facade of the doors changes;
• use the window sill above the battery as a dining or cutting area, in such a situation there will be chairs under the windowsill, the radiator remains open;
• in the countertop above the radiator, place grilles-holes, but this option only partially improves air circulation.

In this case, the radiator is completely dismantled, and the warm floor warms up the room. But the cost of such a conversion is very high.

Since the window sill will always be exposed to the action of water, its structure must be especially strong. To organize the protection of surfaces, you can buy a modern flexible hose mixer. And if you place the sink slightly below the level of the window sill, this will additionally protect the window sill from splashes.

That is, the mixer must be compact. The shape of the tap also influences splashing. It's good if the window is bay window, everything opens comfortably, without the slightest hitch.

Using the windowsill, you get a useful footage. The one-piece table top by the window looks attractive. If there is no radiator under the windowsill, then you can put a small freezer or washing, dishwasher, part of the headset there. But as a dining surface, the countertop can no longer be used.

But the headset, stove, refrigerator are placed strictly against the wall. But you can do the opposite: place a countertop and a sink near a long window, and bring the dining area to one of the walls.

In the interior of the kitchen, the window always stands out. And if you organize a working area under it, then it is very important that it not only looks beautiful and harmonious in the room, but also that its “outfit” is comfortable.

This model for the kitchen is always practical, and above the work surface, these curtains will look appropriate. But the blinds are not convincing in every apartment: if the kitchen is made in a rustic style, then the strict slats will conflict with the overall design.
