Very often the problem of a bedroom is that the smallest space in the house is allocated for it. If you arrange furniture in such a room incorrectly, then the room will immediately lose its comfort and become even inconvenient for living. However, the wrong ergonomics of even a large room will lead to certain problems. How to avoid them - read below.

In order for the ergonomics of the bedroom to be successful, it is necessary at the stage of preparation to assess the size of the room and understand how to arrange the furniture more conveniently and more beautifully. The design project of the bedroom allows you to place the required items right on the plan and decide which of them you still have to exclude. The end result will largely depend on the size of the room. Furniture chosen for the bedroom should be compact and versatile so as not to overload the space.

Additional items are placed in the room only when the area allows it. Otherwise, all third-party elements should be removed from the room, on the contrary. The main item in the bedroom is the sleeping area, which is a bed, sofa or sofa. The final choice depends on the size of the bedroom, the functions it performs, and the number of people who have to use it. Their presence is due to real need and free space.

As for the direct placement of objects in space, it is important that the bed together with the wardrobe occupy no more than 24% of the entire area of ​​the room. Besides, the width of the required aisles cannot be less than a gap of 75 to 80 centimeters... The choice of furniture in the store is also based not only on the chosen interior style, but also on what materials the owners prefer. There are other features, for example, in a spacious bedroom a bed with legs will look better, and in a small one - with built-in drawers for storing bed linen. It is better to take a folding sofa into the living room-bedroom.

Since the bed is the centerpiece of the room and takes up quite a lot of space, its location is extremely important and is determined first of all. The headboard should be positioned close to the wall, but not opposite the doorway to avoid drafts. This location is quite comfortable and also psychologically creates a more comfortable environment. Ideally, the bed should also be placed so that a wide enough passage is maintained on each side.

It is best if, waking up, a person can admire the view from the window or rests his gaze on a beautiful picture or living plants. The bed is placed with a headboard directly under the window in cases where the view from there is not very attractive. If there are two window openings in the room, it makes sense to place the bed right between them. The bed, set diagonally of the room, looks quite original, and thus, looking at the headboard to the corner of the room. In this case, the free space is filled with shelves or an unusual kind of shelving.

It is more convenient and logical to place a single bed parallel to one of the walls. If we are talking about a children's bedroom in which two children live, then their sleeping places can be placed along one wall, along parallel or even adjacent walls.

Feng Shui rules also have certain requirements regarding the location of the bed. This piece of furniture cannot be located opposite the door either, but in addition, a person must be able to observe it. It is best to take a place at the side wall with a headboard to it. Changing the position of the bed to the cardinal points can also play an important role. For example, a headboard set to the east provides a restful sleep, looking to the southwest attracts love into life, and to the southeast helps you achieve your goals.

It is customary to install a wardrobe in the bedroom, since it is in this room that clothes are changed after waking up or before going to bed. The location largely depends on how large the cabinet is, and how its doors open. Most often, a large wardrobe is installed against the wall opposite the bed or parallel to it. A good solution is to purchase a corner structure and place it in a free corner.This option is good for small bedrooms, as it does not take up a lot of space.

If the wardrobe is equipped with sliding doors, then it requires a significant amount of space to open them, which means that you can place it close to the bed, only maintaining the required gap of 70 centimeters. The presence of a variety of storage systems allows you to "unload" the room from dressers and other pieces of furniture.

Bedside tables, as the name suggests, are installed by the bed, but to save space, you can either reduce their number to one, or replace them with hanging structures with one drawer. The dressing table is installed in such a way that it receives as much daylight as possible. They can take a corner next to the window opening, or they can be placed in any other place perpendicular to the wall with the window. It is customary to complement the "beauty" zone with a pouf or a chair. Often, a soft wedge heel or a mini-sofa is placed at the foot of the bed, on which people dressing sit, or where the bedspread is folded during sleep.

A dresser is considered a useful interior item, which not only provides additional opportunities for storing clothes, but also allows you to place decorative items, jewelry, a mirror or even a TV on the top cover. A chest of drawers is placed on any place in the room that remains free after installing the bed and the main cabinet.

If the bedroom is combined with the living room, which most often happens in one-room apartments and studios, then the simplest solution would be to purchase a folding sofa and place a coffee table next to it. Used as intended during the daytime, at night the sofa will transform into a comfortable place to sleep, and the coffee table will act as a bedside table. The sofa itself is selected depending on the size and shape of the room. Another option is to use a rack for zoning the space, which at the same time will become an additional storage space.

In a room that unites several zones, the latter should be clearly delineated. In addition to the rack, mobile screens, curtains or other partitions perform this role well. The high ceiling allows you to place a sleeping place on a dais, and at the bottom you can organize either a study or a common space with a sofa and TV.

The main rule to adhere to in a small bedroom is that the bed must remain quietly accessible. If the room has a niche or alcove, then this is where the head of the bed should be installed, as this allows you to use unused space. In a narrow and small bedroom, it makes sense to arrange the beds diagonally. This solution visually changes the shape of the room and also provides access to the sleeping area from both sides. It makes sense to install a podium in the room on which a workplace or dressing table can be placed, and a sleeping place can be pushed under it.

A design project for a large bedroom usually allows you to realize any fantasies, but only if the furniture is placed correctly. If it can be seen on the plan of the room that the room is spacious, then the bed should immediately be placed with the headboard against the wall, which is devoid of both door and window openings. For example, it would be a very bad decision to place objects strictly around the perimeter of the room, as this creates a box effect. A long bedroom, especially with a balcony, will become neater and more comfortable if you place the furniture across. In this case, the distance from the foot to the wall should still be at least 70 centimeters.

Decorating a bedroom beautifully is not a particularly difficult task, but rather an exciting one. A small room in a classic style makes it possible to place all the items necessary for relaxation. The head of the bed is perpendicular to the wall next to the window. Furniture is not placed opposite the doorway, but it allows you to calmly observe all people entering the room. A spacious wardrobe is installed parallel to the bed, and a small chest of drawers is directly opposite it. On both sides of the sleeping area, there are laconic white bedside tables, on which classic design table lamps have found their place. The necessary space for movement is maintained between all furnishings.

A bedroom in a private house, equipped with a fireplace, looks very unusual. A wide bed is located opposite the window, which allows you to observe a beautiful view of the surrounding area from the moment you wake up. On both sides of it there are dark wood bedside tables with a shelf on which there are flowers. Convenient wall lamps are mounted above them. One of the corners is occupied by a dressing table with an octagonal mirror and a table lamp for the convenience of procedures.

Next to it is a comfortable pouf that slides easily under the table to save space. In addition, between the “beauty” zone and the front door, there is a fireplace, above which an unusual-shaped mirror is mounted, which serves to expand the space.
