In the modern world, new technical means and inventions are constantly appearing. It's time to get to know one of them - aquaskiper.

Peculiarities

Aquaskiper - a device for moving on water, which combines the features of bicycles and motorcycles. However, the very use of such a device raises many questions. And not only questions, but also surprise - how can it be that moving on water is obtained without pedals, a mechanical engine or other devices. Despite such meager technical equipment, a heavy aquasciper together with a pilot may well sail fast enough.

The appearance of the aquaskiper is quite simple. The wide platform to stand on is connected to the main rear fender with a pair of struts. From this platform, the frame begins, which reaches the steering sleeve. By the way, the bushing itself is made almost according to the "bicycle" model. The steering cross members smoothly transform into a kind of bowsprit.

And this bowsprit, in turn, is connected with the front wing strut by means of hinges. A stand with a kind of "breakwater" is brought out behind the front plane. The design is quite flexible, because aquaskipers are equipped with arcuate polymer springs. These springs are placed between the bowsprit and the A-pillar. There are no more large parts in the construction of the water scooter.

How it works?

Modern aquascipers are made from extra light aluminum-based alloys. But all the same, the mass of the structure is about 12 kg. Therefore, it is important to understand how exactly it is kept on the water, and even makes the necessary movements. Everything is quite simple: the designers, when creating a hydrofoil water bike, started from the natural processes occurring in nature. They were inspired, in particular, by the flight of birds, which are also quite heavy, but do not fall, but rise to great heights and make long flights.

Pilots of aquaskipers are forced to constantly rhythmically move their legs, otherwise the stability of their floating craft will immediately disappear. Created by the aquaskiper engineer Alexander Sakhlin from Sweden. But we must immediately point out that his first models were not very successful. It took a lot more effort to manage them than on modern versions. And only in 2008, using an arc-shaped spring and reducing the weight of the frame, Sakhlin was able to lighten the entire structure.

It was immediately noticed by fans of water sports. And after them - and various manufacturers of watercraft. Despite the fact that the invention took on a finished form relatively recently, the industry has already mastered the production of numerous series of such devices. And the price for aquaskipers has become noticeably lower than it was originally. Now they are available to almost all outdoor enthusiasts.

Dignity

This type of water attractions:

  • allows you to train the muscles of the legs;
  • does not require fuel and requires almost no lubrication;
  • can race on water at a speed of 20-30 km / h.

But it is important to understand that using the aquaskiper is not as easy and simple as it might seem. Inexperienced riders will have to devote several hours to strenuous muscle work. Only after that it will turn out to ride with apparent ease and as gracefully as possible.

It is advised to start mastering the water scooter from the piers or berths, otherwise there is a great danger of failure. Putting one foot on the platform immediately and the other after the push.

It should be borne in mind that the aquaskiper will immediately reach a speed of over 10 km / h. Therefore, only people with a fairly quick reaction can use it normally. If there are any health problems, poor health, it is better to refrain from training. Maximum attention should be paid to practicing rhythmic jumps on toes: the ability of an aquaskiperist to stay afloat for a long time depends on them. It is unlikely that this method will be able to cover a long distance, but training the leg muscles is quite effective.

A good example of an aquaskiper is the Vodolet model. Like other products of the same kind, in the event of an unsuccessful turn or even in the event of a fall, it does not sink, but remains on the surface of the water. The quality of the structural material is characterized even by the fact that it is actively used in aircraft construction. The connection of the handrail to which the athlete is holding onto the front fender is achieved thanks to a resilient fiberglass bar.

Aquaskipers are usually supplied unassembled. It is strongly recommended that you read the instructions thoroughly before assembling them and follow them. Even inexperienced athletes can easily assemble a water scooter in 10-20 minutes. You can disassemble it even faster. In this case, the assembled aquascipers must be adjusted for themselves.

This procedure is accomplished by installing the top of the rod into one of the holes in the steering column. Each hole is designed for a specific load, which usually ranges from 30 to 115 kg.

Aquaskipers can be used on any body of water. But you cannot ride on a high wave and in areas where there are pitfalls. You should also beware of algae, which can entangle the scooter. At the first stage of mastering the device, it is not recommended to swim far from the coast. It is advisable to wear a life jacket when doing this.

Next, watch a video on what an aquaskiper is and how to ride it.
