With the help of a bag, every woman seeks to emphasize her individuality and complement a carefully created image. A high-quality original accessory that meets fashion trends is not cheap at all. But for ladies who love to do needlework, it is very easy to sew a unique bag, taking into account fashion trends. Recently, a bag-bag in various designs has been very popular.

How to sew a fabric knot bag?

Original and at the same time simple in shape, the knot bag is distinguished by handles of different lengths, which serve as a kind of "lock". A long handle is pulled into a shorter one, reliably closing the contents of the bag from prying eyes. The loop obtained as a result of these manipulations is put on the wrist.

To sew such a handbag with your own hands, you will need two types of fabric, one will be the main one, and the second will go to the lining. You will also need pins, scissors, matching threads and a sewing machine.

A pattern for the future accessory is drawn on paper. If a small bag is conceived, then a landscape sheet is suitable for a pattern. If you want a large accessory, then you can take tracing paper or graph paper.

If we take the landscape sheet as a basis, then the width of the bag will be 21 cm, and the height, together with the longest handle, is 29.7. On each side of the sheet, 5.5 cm should be set aside for the width of the handles at different heights. On the one hand, at a height of 29.7, and on the other, at a height of 23.2. We divide the width of the sheet in half and from this point we put it in a height of 15.5 cm and put a mark. Then we connect the three points with a curve, as a result of which an armhole is obtained.

For a round bottom of the bag, you need to calculate the diameter. To do this, multiply the width of the sheet (21 cm) by 2, we get 42 cm, which we divide by 3.14 (Pi value). The resulting number 13.3 cm is the diameter of the bottom of the bag. Now you can start cutting.

On the prepared fabric, folded twice with the wrong side up, lay out the pattern, outline the details, taking into account the seam allowances, except for the bottom. We cut out and get two blanks. Further, focusing on the armhole, we draw a line that defines the beginning of the handles. Make an incision along the long handle to the marked line. Now you can start sewing.

In each workpiece, we grind the side line, along the side of the short handle to the beginning of the armhole and then sew the bottom to each. We put the resulting two parts into each other with the front sides. Then we grind both parts along the line of the armhole on each side. We connect the short handle with a seam, do not sew the side line, we will turn the product through it.

We grind the parts at the long handle, but do not join them together. Before turning the product out, you need to make small cuts in the armhole so that the seam does not pull. We turn out the handbag and first sew the side line from the side of the short handle with a blind seam, and then connect the long handle. Sew on the bottom.

The finished handbag can be decorated with appliqués, beads or other decorative elements.

Simple bucket bag

The bag-bag is easy and quick to sew, and looks very original. The usual rectangular shape, pulled together from above by ropes, which are handles. This accessory can be sewn from any material.

You will need two types of fabric, the main and lining, a lace, a hole punch, threads and a sewing machine.

The sewing technology is as follows:

  1. We take the main fabric and make a blank. Add 1.5 cm to the desired width on each side (seam allowances). We multiply the required height by two and add 10-12 cm (for bends). That is, if you need to sew a 22x30 bag, you need to take a piece of fabric 25 by 70-72 cm or two pieces of 35-36 cm each 25 cm wide. Sizes can vary depending on the size of the bag you want.
  2. On each side, using a hole punch, we make two holes, stepping back from the edge 2-3 cm, the distance between them should be slightly less than a third of the width of the part. If the width of the part is 22 cm, then the third part is about 7 cm, which means that the holes can be made by stepping back 8 cm from each edge.We sew the side seams of the main fabric, without completing about 5-6 cm. we are stitching. If the product was made of two halves, we sew the bottom edge.
  3. We make a similar blank from the lining fabric, but a little smaller. Turn the main fabric inside out and insert the lining fabric into the main blank with the right side up. We turn the upper cut of the main fabric so that the holes remain on top of the front side. We fasten the lining fabric to the main fabric with pins, bending inward by 1.5 cm.Then we sew the lining to the main fabric in a circle.
  4. We divide the cord into two parts and insert it into the upper part of the finished product on each side, tying the ends of the cords with knots. The bag is ready!

If you wish, you can sew a bag-bag with a round or oval bottom, having previously calculated the diameter correctly. One such example is detailed in the following video:

Evening

A pouch bag is a suitable accessory for an evening out. Recently, this model has been very popular. Sewing it with your own hands is not difficult at all, the main thing is to choose a suitable fabric sample for the chosen dress.

To sew this 10x18 accessory, you need a 13x46 piece of any fancy fabric. In addition, you need to purchase two types of tape. One strap for the outer drawstring is about 25 cm long (nylon, silk or satin), the other for the tie is about 65 cm long and 7 cm wide, similar to the main fabric.

The assembly technology is as follows:

  1. Cut out a piece of fabric to the desired length and width and fold in 5 cm of fabric on each side. We sew the hem on the front side with a blind seam. Then fold the fabric with the wrong side up and sew the side seams. Then we turn the blank onto the front side.
  2. Cut the prepared drawstring tape in half. We take one part of the tape and use pins to pin it to the fabric, having previously tucked the sections located at the side seams to the seamy side. Position the tape so that the fold line is covered. We pin the second part of the tape in the same way. Sew a drawstring on each side of the fabric with two parallel seams so that an opening is formed.
  3. In the resulting narrow opening of the drawstring, insert the prepared ribbon for the tie, having previously cut it in half. This is done with a small pin. After these manipulations, two free ends of the ribbon are formed on each side, which must be tied together. The pouch bag is ready.

If desired, it can be decorated with beads, rhinestones, ribbons and other decorative elements.
