Of course, you do not need to sew the most fashionable outfit, and not the one that looks beautiful on the cover, but the one that suits you personally: removes flaws and emphasizes advantages.

As an example, we will simulate a Gode wedding dress. The fabric for the dress can be any dress fabric, for example, satin, taffeta, openwork. It should be borne in mind that it is tight-fitting and the allowances should be minimal.

Sequencing:

• On the patterns of the front and back, transfer the darts and draw a cut line, as in the photo below. When cutting the dress, you will have a three-piece front and a 4-piece back. The central part of the back consists of two parts, since a hidden zipper will be sewn in.
• Decorate the neckline of the dress.
• Choose the length as you wish. Moreover, the shuttlecocks are not taken into account, that is, the length is measured to the place of their sewing.

The shuttlecock pattern, like the belt, is done separately. It is advisable to cut the shuttlecock in one piece, without seams, and if it does not work out, then they make it from 2 parts. When assembling, the seams of the flounce should match the side seams of the dress.

Depending on the length of the dress, you can choose a shuttlecock at your discretion.

The finished pattern can be transferred to the base and lining fabric.

Uncover:

• for the front - 2 parts of the side part and 1 part with a fold of the central part from the outer and lining fabrics;
• for the back - 4 parts, 2 of which are lateral from similar fabrics;
• for a shuttlecock - 1-2 parts from the main fabric;
• for the belt - 2 parts.

It is worth noting that the neckline and armhole trims repeat the bodice of the dress. After cutting, reinforce them with a thermal cloth.

You will also need metal boning or hem for the side seams of the front and back, and for the neckline of the dress.

• Sew the front and back parts separately and iron the seams.
• Stitch 7mm from each front joining seam line, starting at the raised seam and ending at the waist. Drawstrings are obtained, into which the bones are stretched. Their length should be less than the length of the drawstring by 1 cm.
• To keep the bones in place, restitch the side drawstrings at the top and bottom.
• Make the same drawstrings on the back. Then sew it with the front on the sides and stitch at the top of the bodice for the underwire. Insert them and stitch the drawstrings.
• Sew a hidden zipper on the back.
• Neaten the bottom of the dress and sew on the shuttlecock.
• Heat-reinforced piping, sew with lining details, and then sew parts of the front and back.
• Now you need to sew the lining to the main fabric. To do this, fold them facing each other and sew along the neckline of the bodice and zipper. When the dress is turned inside out, the seams on the lining will remain on the wrong side. Be sure to iron them out.
• Tuck the bottom of the lining inward and sew with blind stitches, so you will close the sewing area of ​​the shuttlecock. Tuck the edge of the shuttlecock and hem with blind stitches, you can overfold.
• Fold the details of the belt facing each other and stitch, leaving a small area to turn it out later. Turn the sewn belt out and iron the seams well. Treat the not sewn edge with a blind seam.

• You can sew the belt to the dress at the junction with the flounce and tie it with a bow, or just tie it beautifully at the waist.
