Rustic wedding dress - natural simplicity
Rustic style is now at the peak of its popularity, it manifests itself in design solutions, interiors and, of course, in clothes. Even wedding outfits weren't left untouched by this style. Rustic wedding dresses are filled with simplicity and naturalness to the brim.
Summer outdoor weddings, enchanting autumn ceremonies with luscious flowers and delicate spring weddings - every season is suitable for a rustic style. And even for a winter wedding, you can find a worthy embodiment of rusticism.
Where did the rustic style come from?
Not so long ago, the "rustic" style was acceptable only for design. He helped to recreate in a limited space the comfort that has long been able to give only a rustic style.
Residents of large cities actively used it to decorate their homes, focusing on naturalness and environmental friendliness. For this, special building materials were selected: wood, stone, brick and others.
A little later, this style moved into the design of wedding halls and found many admirers. This is only figuratively rustic style is called rustic, but in fact it is not quite like that. European standards in wedding organization began to recede under the onslaught of the rustic style.
Style
If you decide to have a rustic wedding ceremony, then the dress should be appropriate - a simple and straight cut with an unpretentious silhouette reminiscent of vintage.
Simplicity is the key to determining the relationship between a wedding and a rustic style. The image of the bride is completely devoid of pomp, which carries crinoline, ruffles and sparkling elements.
But a floor-length cocktail dress made in pastel colors (white, milky or beige) is the best option for a rustic style. Decorations and decorative finishes have a right to exist even in such simplicity, but in moderation.
Lightness and airiness in a wedding dress is also allowed by the canons of a rustic image. Even a snow-white sundress can be beaten in such a way that no one doubts - we have a bride dressed in a rustic style.
Here, of course, you cannot do without accessories that will make your look truly rustic (beads, an interesting cape, an unusual handbag).
A rustic dress does not have to be long and short styles may be fine. The main thing here is simplicity - without fitted lines, fluffy skirts.
When adding jewelry and accessories to your image, remember that pretentiousness and gloss will not be appropriate. In rare cases, a light splendor in a dress may be present, as well as an original skirt with a slight inclusion of ruffle or flying fabric.
The presence of a sleeve in a rustic-style wedding dress is very much even welcomed, as it creates harmony and a sense of completeness of the image.
Long sleeves acquire relevance closer to autumn.
Sleeves made from sheer fabric, which taper at the wrist, are a good option. Even the sleeves in the shape of the lanterns will not spoil the overall impression of the dress.
Do not be afraid to bare your back - a little sexuality has not stopped anyone yet. And even the rustic style welcomes such elements. Quite often, rustic-style wedding dresses are custom-made, because this is the only way to take into account all the features of the figure and create the perfect style.
Material
If the bride has given preference to the rustic style, then it is necessary to observe it in everything and to the end. For example, in the choice of fabric for a dress, simple dullness prevails, without an insane scattering of rhinestones and dazzling shine of sequins.
The choice of color is also somewhat limited - white, ivory, pood or, in extreme cases, pastel.
The main criterion for choosing a fabric for a Rustican wedding dress is lightness. The leaders in this parameter are unchanged: chiffon, tulle and lace.
Lace is the eternal and unchanging companion of rusticism, as well as embroidery in a light, even weightless design. For winter and fall weddings, it is definitely worth choosing a long sleeve that can be fully or partially filled with lace.
And remember, rustic is, first of all, simplicity, lightness and naturalness. When forming their image, brides actively use the outer elements of clothing: stoles, boleros, capes and shawls. Not the warmest weather and an open ceremony only add zest to the image.
Additional elements
Accessories are very welcome in an image that is created according to all the rules and canons of rusticism.
A linen belt looks very good with a simple dress, which makes a significant emphasis on naturalness.
The choice of jewelry that will harmoniously look in a rustic way is quite large - modest, without a special accent, or, on the contrary, massive. Anything that has a natural base can serve as a material: wood, leather, natural stone. There is a strict taboo on any jewelry, pearls and other accessories that have a hint of classics.
Shoes, like the whole image, can only be simple and comfortable. There can be no question of any hairpin. But even simple shoes can be very delicate and truly wedding: ballet flats, sandals, pumps with very small heels, boots, which are more welcome in the West, but for cool weather can be an excellent option.
Indeed, European brides often choose cowboy boots, and wear a short denim jacket or a shirt with a large checkered print over the dress. But more modest and not so daring young ladies show interest in shoes without heels, for example, ballet flats.
Veil, as such, is practically not used in the formation of a rustic wedding image, giving way to wreaths of living flower arrangements, headbands and tiaras... Although some brides manage to harmoniously fit a short veil in the original design.
It is better to leave the hair loose with light curls, collect in a braid or bun, while leaving the effect of slight disheveledness.
