- Dish... The shape of this plate can be very different. It "presents" fish, meat, game, canapes. The standard size is 40–45 cm.
- Bowl. Presented as a cup without a handle.Anything can be served in this container.
- Dessert. This dish serves fruits or desserts. It can be shallow and deep, and its size does not exceed 20 cm. Most often it is a flat plate, on which even a cake can fit without any problems.
- Khlebnaya... The size is 16-18 cm, intended for flour products and butter.
- Fish. This plate has an elongated, oval-like shape. Its length is 33–37 cm, width is 23–26 cm.
- Herringwoman. In this utensil, herring, canned fish, finished fish are served on the table. It is very similar to a fish plate, but larger.
- Soup. Enough roomy container - 250-500 cm³. Designed for soups, cereals, muesli.
- Bouillon... This is a bowl with handles for serving broth. Has a fairly large capacity - 350-400 cm³.
- With a deep bottom... It is used for pasta and various second courses.
- Serving - placed under another plate. That is, she takes part in the table setting as a stand.

Plates are the element of the kitchen that has always been present. But if earlier in the kitchen it was possible to observe only round dishes of various diameters, today the assortment of shapes is really surprising and amazing. The large selection is due to the availability of new materials, technologies, equipment, unlimited possibilities.
