All About Black Bull Terriers
Since ancient times, humanity has had a very ambiguous opinion about such an interesting breed of dog as the Bull Terrier. Most people believe that this animal is very aggressive and even dangerous to humans. Black bull terriers are considered especially aggressive.
However, many dog handlers argue that a dog is incapable of killing a person, and it does not carry any danger. Whether it is so or not is worth investigating.
It is about black bull terriers that will be discussed in the article
Origin of the breed
Bull Terriers were born thanks to the experiments of the English breeder James Hincks. In the middle of the 19th century, he set the task of forming a completely new and truly strong dog.
Initially, Hinks planned to create a dog with a perfect white color, and he succeeded.
To obtain the breed, it was required to cross a Dalmatian, an English Bulldog and a White English Terrier.
Contrary to this version, facts have surfaced quite recently, proving that the breed appeared much earlier - about 200 years ago. These conclusions were made based on the paintings of 1810, on which you can see animals that strongly resemble a bull terrier.
Officially, the breed was recognized at one of the exhibitions - around 1863.
In the middle of the 20th century, not only white bull terriers began to appear, but also black ones.
Today, there are many different and quirky colors available.
Description
Let's consider the main characteristics of the breed.
- In appearance the dog is very powerful and muscular, even in spite of its small size. The male is noticeably larger than the female, both in weight (about 25 kilograms) and in height (no more than 50 centimeters).
- Head the bull terrier is long and oval.A smooth arc runs from the back of the head to the nose, and the skull is almost perfectly flat between the ears.
- Muzzle the dog resembles a rat, so the bull terrier is often called the "giant rat". The jaw is very massive and strong. The eyes are dark in color and widen markedly when excited.

Now it should be said whether the black bull terrier is deservedly considered dangerous.
Indeed, at times the dog has outbursts of aggression, for example, at the sight of a cat. However, it should be understood that for a long time the breed was grown for fights and exhibitions, so the fighting instinct cannot be taken away from the dog. This also explains the strength and muscularity of the dog, as well as massive jaws.
