Thermopots from Kitfort
Kitfort thermo pots deserve attention, at least because they are supplied by one of the leading companies. An overview of thermos kettles allows you to study in detail their features and make the right choice. And you should also study the basic rules for using such equipment.
Peculiarities
The Kitfort thermo pot is a thermos kettle. That is, a device that is capable of both heating a liquid and maintaining its temperature stably for a long time. Compared to conventional electric kettles, this technique looks much more weighty. In fact, it is: thermopots are much heavier. The solution is very simple - maintaining the temperature is achieved by introducing an additional heater into the structure; it is he who gives volume, makes the product heavier.
In the descriptions of all Kitfort devices, the emphasis is on:
- instant heating (with water supply 5 seconds after pressing the button);
- no current consumption at the time of downtime;
- equipping with convenient controls;
- ease of varying temperature, portion size;
- protection from children;
- well thought-out design as a whole.
The lineup
Thermopot KT-2503 can heat water up to:
- 45;
- 55;
- 65;
- 75;
- 85;
- 100 degrees.
Touch control is quite convenient and comfortable. The nominal total capacity of the tank is 2.2 liters. The device will use 2.6 kW of current to heat water. The reservoir can be removed if necessary. Its own weight is 2.1 kg, the electrical wire is short - less than 1 m, which is not always convenient.
The reviews say:
- profitability;
- the ability to replace simple electric kettles;
- affordability of the price;
- high-speed performance;
- dispensing slightly smaller portions of liquid than indicated in the settings;
- stylish appearance;
- fragility of some specimens.
As an alternative, you can consider the Kitfort KT-2501. This flow-through thermo pot allows you to set almost any water temperature at your discretion.The design of the model is quite up to par. The construction takes up little space. The water tank cannot be removed; control, as in the previous model, is based on touch elements.
Other nuances:
- capacity - 4 l;
- current consumption - 2.6 kW;
- net weight - 2.8 kg;
- relatively quiet operation;
- cheapness.
Kitfort KT-2502 - excellent mechanical model with a removable tank... Its power is, again, 2.6 kW. The capacity of the tank is 2.2 liters. The desired temperature is set using the rotary controller. Net weight - 2 kg.
Choosing Kitfort KT-2504 is also quite reasonable. It holds 2.5 liters of water. Unfortunately, the reservoir cannot be removed. Another weakness is the impossibility of accurate dosage: the portion is sometimes smaller and sometimes larger.
The design is elegant, and the thermal sweat is compact.
How to use?
The most common mistake is to pour water into a thermopot from the tap.... This should be done only by hand, using a ladle or a large cup. It is necessary to understand that the thermo-pot will boil the water only if the temperature was initially set to 100 degrees. At any other value, the device will only warm up the liquid, but will not bring it to a boil. Therefore, the most practical (and directly recommended in the official instructions) is to fill in water that does not need to be boiled.
It is very important to use water with minimal rigidity. But scale will still appear and should be removed immediately. The thermopot can only be placed on flat horizontal surfaces.
The appearance of extraneous odors during the first use is quite natural and is not a cause for alarm. The problem is solved by boiling a small (0.3-0.4 l) amount of water several times.
If the thermal pot overheats, the automatic protection will work. The thermostat must then be reset, usually mechanically. The reboot may take some time. There are a few more recommendations:
- use only gentle cleaning agents without abrasive effect;
- fight scale with a 3% citric acid solution;
- eliminate complete clogging with scale (leading to complete inoperability of the device) by mechanical cleaning;
- regularly wipe the surface with a damp cloth;
- removing the thermopot for long-term storage, remove the remaining water from the tank and dry the device;
- do not allow children to play with a thermopot.
