It is worth emphasizing that the footer is a knitted fabric that is created by weaving three threads. The densest version is called coulir, because a special knitted pattern is formed on the front side. Two more types of footer are presented - they have loops of lower and higher height on the seamy side. Three-thread in the classic version is presented in the form of cotton, although quite often you can find options that combine polyester and cotton.

Besides, three-strand may contain rayon instead of cotton. Usually this option is mixed with polyester. But all of the above solutions necessarily contain lycra (spandex) fibers, so the fabric is characterized by elasticity. On average, the density of a three-thread is in the range of 190-550 g / m².
