However, georgette fabric differs in many ways from silk fabric, for example, in terms of the manufacturing process, as well as the raw materials used. But at the same time, some types of this fabric are still made of silk. It should be borne in mind that the method of weaving threads of silk and georgette fabrics differs in many ways.

In general, georgette is a thin and silky canvas of natural origin: animal or vegetable. Sometimes, during production, natural fibers are mixed with synthetic ones, so that the result is a fabric that has high strength and elasticity. But in the production of georgette, which has an average density, natural wool is usually used.

If we talk about the features of this material, then the most basic of them is its structure. Georgette itself is distinguished by its softness, but its structure is slightly grainy, which is especially felt by those people whose skin is highly sensitive. Georgette is a rather capricious fabric to care for, and therefore, before washing products made from it, you need to carefully read the label. At the same time, it is impossible to use bleaching agents or agents with an aggressive composition during washing, otherwise there is a risk of spoiling the thing. Drying of such products should take place on a hanger or in a horizontal position, however, before this, the product must be straightened. In addition, drying should take place in a shaded place, since the sun's rays have a bad effect on the material, destroying it. Ironing of such things is allowed only from the inside out, while the iron must be heated to 80 degrees. If there are creases on the product, then during ironing it is allowed to use steaming through cotton material.
