Raincoat trench
There are several types of outerwear that will never go out of style, and these include trench coats. The production of these things began during the First World War, and initially they were sewn for the infantry, but over time, raincoats began to be worn by civilians, and not only men, but also women. Today, trench coats are produced by world famous brands, including Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana and Chanel.
Peculiarities
Every fashionista has a trench coat in her wardrobe, because it is versatile and fits any outfit. In addition, despite the restrained cut, it is able to emphasize femininity and give the silhouette the correct outlines, so not only slender girls, but also owners of magnificent forms, wear it with pleasure.
The trench coat has several features that make it recognizable among other types of raincoats:
- tabs on cuffs;
- yoke on the shelf and back;
- imitation of shoulder straps;
- a buckle belt made of the same material as the cloak itself;
- straight cut, but sometimes slightly fitted models are found;
- turn-down collar, consisting of 2 parts, and the lower one has a fastener;
- buttoned flap pockets.
The length of the trench coat in the classic version reaches the knees, but modern models can be a little shorter. For sewing products, they mainly use gabardine cotton fabric, impregnated with water-repellent compounds, which allows you to safely wear them in the rain without fear of getting wet. Buttons lined up in 2 rows act as fasteners, but there are also single-breasted models.
A raincoat and a trench coat - what's the difference?
A trench coat can be called a kind of variation of a raincoat, only it has a number of features that must be observed when sewing: fabric, cut, length, collar, and so on.While a raincoat can be absolutely anything - long or short, with a zipper or buttons, with a turn-down collar or stand-up, with or without a belt.
Another important distinguishing feature is the fabric - a special waterproof material is used for a trench coat, and other fabrics, for example, denim, velvet or leather, are acceptable for raincoats.
The main difference is that the trench coat is suitable for almost every woman, it is not difficult to choose it, even despite the huge assortment. As for the raincoat, you will have to measure more than a dozen models to find the best option.
Color solutions
Beige and brown. In a classic bow, such a trench coat will go well with white, brown and black colors. But so that the image does not look boring, you should dilute it with pink or yellow shades.
Gray. All shades of gray go well with black, white, lilac and pale pink things.
White. It is not recommended to combine a white trench coat with two or more colors, you should choose only one. The brightest combination will be white with coral or scarlet, especially for blondes.
Red. Choosing bright outerwear, all other elements of the image should be in more restrained shades. Sky blues, whites, grays, and dark blues are the best complements to reds.
Blue. To create a harmonious bow, it is recommended to combine a blue raincoat with turquoise or blue elements. Lovers of extravagance should choose things in orange or yellow.
Green and khaki. Light things should be selected for these shades so that the image does not look gloomy. The most advantageous shades will be silver-gray, white, olive and mint shades.
Yellow. The owners of the yellow trench coat will always be in the spotlight. This energetic color looks good in tandem with black, white and blue.
Pink. Depending on the saturation of the shade, the pink trench coat can be worn with things in yellow, raspberry, coral and white colors. Black and dark gray tones can add some severity.
When choosing the color of the trench coat, it is recommended to take into account its purpose, for example, restrained colors - black, brown, beige, gray - are suitable for everyday wear, and for special occasions you can purchase brighter products. The question of the color of the raincoat is also important from the practical side, because muted tones are easy to combine with casual clothes and shoes at low speed, and bright products look good in combination with a more elegant bow - heels, a blouse and a skirt.
