When his home was demolished, he was paid good compensation, which could be spent on purchasing decent housing in the capital. However, the ambitious future fashion designer disposed of his finances in his own way.
In 1965, Kenzo moved to Paris, a fashion capital with chic prospects for those who know what they want. Continuing to strive for their goal - to become an eminent and recognizable fashion designer - the Japanese are working hard to create unique models.Five years later, a fashion show is taking place in Paris, in which Kenzo presents his line of women's clothing, which completely revolutionized the idea of European fashion and haute couture fashion in general.
In search of his true direction, Kenzo created a unique combination of the then popular Western garments with traditional Japanese kimonos. And he hit the bull's-eye. Literally immediately after the show, the indefatigable Japanese man opens his own shop in Paris.
Today the Kenzo brand has a completely French leadership. Its founder retired in 1993, selling the trademark to the French company LVMH, while continuing to create models and images for it.
