More recently, when the phrase "women's home clothing" was mentioned, only a flannel or chintz robe came to mind. Today, the practical dressing gown has been replaced by stylish, modern, beautiful and comfortable clothes for the home, including home suits, dresses and, of course, tunics.

Models

A home tunic is a great alternative to a familiar dressing gown. She is fashionable, unusual, beautiful and comfortable. What else do you need for home clothes?

The variety of models of home tunics makes it easy to choose the option that suits you best:

  • Tunic top. Outwardly, it resembles an elongated top. The model has no sleeves, therefore it is especially convenient for the hot season.
  • Tunic T-shirt with a round neckline. Sports option, often with a hood.
  • Tunic robe. Classic model with zip or wrap and belt.
  • Insulated models. Made of wool, fleece, knitwear and other warm materials.

All tunics, as a rule, are made without a collar and have a loose, straight or slightly fitted cut. Tunic sleeves can be of different lengths and shapes, or absent altogether. Additionally, tunics are supplied with pockets, hoods, belts.

The color scheme can be absolutely any. Here you can give free rein to your imagination and put on a tunic of the brightest, most saturated, ultra-fashionable color, which may not always be possible to put on on the street or to work.

Among the trendiest colors this year are pink, purple, black, steel, red, etc.

Among the most relevant prints are cartoon characters, large floral ornaments, oriental motifs, animalistic images, etc.

The decorative design of tunics can be different: lace, beautiful braid, bright lacing, ribbons, etc. are used.

How to choose?

The choice of a suitable tunic model depends not only on one's own taste, but also on the characteristics of the figure. For example, overweight girls and women can be recommended models of a straight silhouette of medium length with a V-neck. In such a tunic, the figure will look sleeker and slimmer. Slender girls can afford any style and length.

If a tunic is the main home clothing, then it is best to have several different models in your wardrobe, differing in material, color, print and length.

Textile

Usually light home tunics are made of silk, cotton, thin jersey. Natural materials have excellent hygroscopicity and breathability, they are practical to wear and easy to clean. In addition, the tunic can be made of fleece or flannel for the cold season.

Consider the most common models of tunics from different materials:

  • The cotton tunic is ideal for everyday wear. It allows the skin to breathe, does not restrict movement, is easily washed off and retains its attractive appearance for a long time.
  • A silk tunic dress or kimono is an elegant option. Such a tunic is suitable, for example, for meeting guests or for a festive dinner in a family setting.
  • A flannel or fleece tunic is a very homey, cozy option that can be used in cold weather or as a nightdress.

What to wear with?

A suitable clothing option for a tunic should be selected based on its model and length. For example, elongated robe tunics or dresses are worn by themselves.

Cropped tunic tops or T-shirts go well with shorts, dress pants, skirts, bicycles or leggings.

A universal option: a colorful or bright tunic + tight tights, leggings or plain bicycles. Very convenient and practical.

Cropped models or tunics of medium length can also be worn with jeans or straight trousers.
