The main thing is to know how to properly wash a stretch ceiling. It all depends on where it is installed, what materials it is made of, how long it serves you, and what kind of pollution appeared on it.

Before you embark on such a responsible event, take care in advance that so that everything you need is at hand:

• sturdy table, stable ladder;
• foam sponges, clean cloth, gauze;
• detergents - purchased or prepared by hand;
• mops with soft attachments, rubber gloves.

When starting general cleaning, remember not to press too hard on the surface, as it is easy to deform. Forget knives and scissors. In no case should you try to scrape off the stain with them, if you do not want to then change the ceiling completely.

The best way to buy a cleaning product is from a store. Examine the information about what components it contains. You can use liquid for washing dishes and glasses, after diluting them with water and knocking them into a lather.

Over time, the snow-white ceiling, unfortunately, can acquire a yellowish tint. He needs some care. First you need to try washing it off with regular soapy water. If that doesn't work, you will have to resort to using a liquid containing chlorine. In a container with warm water, dissolve a little chlorine substance (no more than a tablespoon). And with a soft-coated mop, wash the surface. We are waiting for it to completely dry, we carefully examine it for streaks and stains. If there are any, we repeat the procedure again.

Use only soft rags when treating the surface. And always before using any solution check how it works. Treat a small, inconspicuous area and check it completely dry. If everything is in order, you can proceed.

The usual soap solution that we use can leave white streaks on a black ceiling, as well as on a colored one, therefore, the sequence of actions is as follows:

1. We remove them with a sponge and clean water, and we change both of them several times. This is the only way to achieve perfect cleanliness.
2. Then wipe the surface dry with a soft cloth. We do this until there are no white traces left.

If the coating is slightly dusty, it can be wiped with a flannel or suede cloth. A soft brush will work as well. If in your opinion dry cleaning is not enough, move on to wet cleaning.

To wash the mirror surface without streaks, we follow a certain algorithm of actions and follow simple tips:

1. Remove all rings and bracelets before the procedure. Wear gloves if you have long, sharp nails. Failure to observe these precautions could inadvertently damage the film material.

4. If there are no stains, it is enough to wash the surface simply with water at a temperature not exceeding 40 degrees. You can make a solution using laundry soap, baby soap, dishwashing detergent.

It does not need frequent cleaning, it is practical and convenient. Dry cleaning is suitable for it. Dust can be removed with a brush or vacuum cleaner. Use the dedicated fabric attachment. Even so, keep the vacuum cleaner a few centimeters from the ceiling and do not touch the structure itself so as not to damage it.

If you need wet cleaning, first get rid of the dust with a dry cloth. Then we make a soapy solution and wash it with a sponge.When using a spray, spray it onto the surface and spread it over it in a circular motion using a sponge. At the end of the work, we treat the entire surface with clean water, and then with a dry cloth.

It is more difficult to take care of such a coating at home; the agent must be chosen carefully, depending on how heavily soiled the surface is. If the linen has a slight coating, it can be removed with warm water and microfiber or suede. Wipe very carefully.... In case of thorough contamination, you need to very thoroughly dissolve the washing powder in water and wash the ceiling.

Multilevel ceilings require special treatment. The processing of these designs is more labor intensive, but the principles are still the same. we act very carefully, do not three and do not press:

Kitchen dirt is especially tricky and will take a little more effort and time. before you get rid of it:

• Greasy stains penetrate the canvas, so just wiping them with a wet sponge will not be enough. Treat the “oily” area with dish or window cleaner and wait 15-20 minutes.
• The stain should dissolve, then treat the surface with clean water and wipe dry with a tissue. If the first attempt was unsuccessful, repeat the procedure.Ammonia hydrate can be used. It will not damage the surface and handle stubborn dirt.
• In an emergency, a steam mop can help. We use a microfiber attachment and move parallel to the seams. If we are working with a steam cleaner, direct the jet upwards. After that, remove the drops with dry napkins.

This type of pollution, like soot, is common in the kitchen. There are no special tricks here. In case of stubborn dirt, moisten the stain with soapy water and allow time for it to dissolve. At the end, the glossy ceiling must be treated with alcohol or vodka in proportions of one to ten. This will restore the tension structure to its former shine.

There is no universal remedy for removing such marks. All of the above methods are equally good at removing the nicotine layer from the surface. Choose for yourself - it will be a soapy solution or dishwashing detergent, glass cleaner or a specialized aerosol for stretch coatings. The only touch that can complete the picture is adding an aromatic substance to the solutionto get rid of the tobacco smell.

On a glossy finish, you can try to remove such a mark with a soapy solution. If it doesn't work, then you can use alcohol. Some people use acetone-free nail polish remover and thinner with water. But if you decided on such an experiment, first you need to try the effect of the composition on an inconspicuous area.

The ceiling is decorated with chandeliers and all kinds of spotlights. And, of course, even the cleanest ceiling won't sparkle with dusty lighting fixtures. It happens that a bulky crystal or glass chandelier with many elements is difficult to remove from the ceiling. Then, using a stable table or ladder, wash it directly on the ceiling. Do not forget to first unscrew the light bulb, and put paper in the cartridge.

As for spotlights, it is better to disassemble them for complete cleaning. The room must be de-energized, and the lamps must be carefully removed. If you are afraid that you will not be able to return everything to its place later, take a photo of the sequence in which you disassembled the structure. You can try to wipe off the lights without removing them. But then it will not be possible to fully cleanse the dirt from the inside, which has accumulated between the ceiling and the lamp. In addition, there is a risk of damage to the tensioning surface. You can inadvertently push and enlarge the incisions made for the flashlights. There is also a risk of disrupting the connection of electrical wires.

How often to wash the ceiling is up to you. It all depends on how many times a year you do a general cleaning in the apartment, whether you wash the floors every day and wipe the dust. After all, its particles settle on the ceiling, and over time turn into dirt under the influence of various factors. The location of the ceiling also plays an important role.

The suspended ceiling located in the kitchen loses its original appearance faster than its “counterparts” mounted in the rooms.No matter how neat the owner is, the hinged structure will get dirty someday, and it will be "decorated" with grease and soot. Stretch canvases here need to be washed much more often than in other rooms, at least twice a year. And if the family is large and the chef is constantly steaming, frying, cooking and baking something, then general cleaning is required even more often. Other rooms also have their own characteristics:
