There is an organizer teacher in almost every school, but not even every colleague of this specialist will accurately formulate his professional duties. Meanwhile, this position gave an excellent start to a huge number of people who glorified themselves in the field of pedagogy and not only. This is a really interesting field of activity, it is ideal for initiative, creative, seeking, people who are not ready for routine.

Description of the profession

Educator-organizer - a specialist who must have a specialized secondary or higher pedagogical education. Appoints or dismisses from this position, as from any other, the director of the educational institution.

The list of his professional duties is large: from the preparation of large intra-school events, competitions, festivals to the organization of the participation of schoolchildren in competitions and projects (city, regional, federal and even international scale).

All that, in the old fashioned way, many still call the "social life of the school", rests on the shoulders of the teacher-organizer. Of course, in most cases he works in tandem with the deputy director for educational work. But since he is an official, he devotes a lot of time to reporting documentation, working with families, all extracurricular activities are coordinated mainly by the teacher-organizer.

There is a strong opinion that only young people can work in this position. Of course, this is nothing more than a stereotype, although not without logical justification. Growing up, teachers strive for professional growth, many leave the position of a teacher-organizer for a "subject" or become the same deputy director.But there are people who for many years remain devoted to the position of a teacher-organizer, because love this creative and inspiring work.

At school, the teacher-organizer is not a deputy director, but he can be a part of the administration, participate in weekly planning meetings, etc. Often this specialist is the director's right hand, because the way the educational process is structured in an educational institution also affects the rating of the school, and on the environment created in it, and on the very atmosphere in it.

Job responsibilities

The standard contract specifies the job responsibilities of the specialist in question. A person applying for this position carefully reads this list.

What should he do:

  • to contribute to the development of the personality of children, their inclinations and talents, to improve the general culture of students;
  • explore the age and accompanying psychological characteristics of children, study their interests and needs;
  • to create conditions for the creative activity of the child, for the realization of the talents and skills of the children;
  • plan the work of circles, studios, as well as clubs and associations of interests;
  • organize multidirectional individual and collective activities of children and adults;
  • work on the priority profile of the school (for example, environmental);
  • organize events according to the calendar plan of educational work: evenings, holidays, hikes, festivals, competitions, excursions;
  • support the most interesting children's initiatives;
  • to promote the realization of the rights of the child in the children's associations and organizations created at the school;
  • to involve colleagues from the sports, cultural spheres in the work;
  • involve parents and the public in joint socially significant work;
  • organize a vacation for students;
  • be responsible for the life and health of the wards.

It should be noted that, in addition to responsibilities, the organizer teacher also has rights. In particular, he has the right to get acquainted with the draft decisions of the heads of the educational institution. He can propose initiatives that can improve the educational process. The teacher-organizer has the right to involve colleagues in solving common significant problems. Finally, the organizing teacher has the right to demand from the head of the educational institution assistance in the performance of his official duties.

The responsibility of the specialist is spelled out in the job description. The organizer teacher is responsible for insufficient observance of official duties, for violations and causing material damage.

It should be noted that what is spelled out in the employee's contract is very important: the specialist himself must know these listings from the list. It is no secret that many teachers put their signatures in the agreement, literally without looking.

But in addition to the official document, it is important to have a confidential talk with the authorities: to ask what is the difference between educational work in this particular school, what is the emphasis on.

Requirements

A good teacher-organizer - he is a specialist who skillfully uses his professional experience, monitors current pedagogical trends and has such personal qualities that help him in his work.

Knowledge and skills

First of all, a person with a pedagogical education must clearly know pedagogy and child psychology. This is a professional basis. Without this, it is difficult to work with the children's team so that it is productive, creative and interesting.

Certain skills can help the facilitator in the work.

  • Pedagogical ability. In addition to theory, the specialist must have practical experience in pedagogy. And if it is not (or not enough), pedagogical abilities come to the rescue. Many have them, but they need to be developed.A person with these abilities can work with a large children's team, while not forgetting about the individualization of the educational process. This is a person with good organizational skills, developed creative thinking, professional observation. He is able to analyze and generalize information, design and create methodological developments.
  • Public speaking skills... The organizer teacher often has to conduct concerts and school competitions, hold festive lines, rallies, evenings, and alumni meetings. He sometimes has the opportunity to speak at parent-teacher meetings (including all-school ones), at teachers' councils, seminars, meetings with colleagues from other schools. All this requires from a specialist the ability to present himself correctly (self-presentation skills), to build the course of the speech, to present the text and message in an interesting and meaningful way. Anyone can be obscured, shy, quietly or indistinctly speaking, but not the teacher-organizer.

Otherwise, they will simply not listen to him. But in a sense, an organizer is a leader, a leader who must lead the team behind him. Fortunately, public speaking skills are being trained. Even online courses are able to "talk" those who are very afraid of it.

  • Creative thinking. Contests, promotions, projects, holidays - they pour in an endless stream on the teacher-organizer. And if "creative springs creak," a person simply cannot withstand this avalanche. For a professional, such an environment is the norm, a form of life. He feels confident, even if he needs to keep several scenarios, applications, ideas in his head at once. Living at this pace is easier for creative people who don't have to sit over a two-page script for several nights. Easy to create ideas, quick to react to the next creative challenge, organizing teachers have time to do everything.
  • Ability to work in a multitasking environment. The work of a teacher-organizer is not routine - it contains elements that will not be repeated from day to day. Of course, a lot is cyclical, planned activities often repeat each other. But it depends on the view of the profession of the specialist himself. Anyone who is initiative, not devoid of perfectionism and takes up new events with enthusiasm, he does well even projects that are not the most interesting at first glance.

And at the same time, you have to do several things at once: planning Teacher's Day, for example, filming school news, preparing for an environmental media production competition, organizing an intellectual tournament for elementary school ... Of course, not everyone can work like this.

  • Pedagogical tact. The profession of a teacher, as everyone knows, is associated with high professional stress, with “burnout”. Children can manipulate adults, behave in a not always predictable and often rude, boorish way. The teacher does not have the right to fall for them, go over to shouting and insults. He cannot kick the child out of the class (after all, he is responsible for his life and health), he cannot slam the door himself.

Professionalism, emotional stability and pedagogical tact work here. Where an ordinary adult loses his temper, the teacher includes the necessary techniques and methods for resolving a conflict situation.

  • Knowledge of child psychology, application in practice. To be able to see and hear a child, and most importantly, to understand him is not a given. This is learned. Using the existing knowledge, the teacher-organizer will see the problem in time, will be an assistant to the child in a difficult situation, will be able to establish trusting contact with the parents, etc.

The main danger for a practicing teacher-organizer is professional "burnout". It especially concerns those specialists who strive to take leading places in competitions that affect the rating of the school. And personal qualities often help to cope with such pressure.

Personal qualities

Attentive, responsible, energetic, reflective - all this can be said about a good teacher-organizer. However, other qualities can help him in his work.

  • Sociability... An organizer teacher is not a desk job. You have to communicate a lot, connect people to your ideas, work in partnership. To do this, you need to be able to communicate: find common topics, convey your thought correctly, be able to inspire and be inspired.
  • Openness... Children feel sincere and open people whom they can confide in and follow. Therefore, isolation and detachment are the most undesirable qualities of someone who works with children.
  • Responsiveness... Children bring to the team not only their joys, but also problems. They can hide them, but at the same time demonstrate a desire to share what they care about. And a good teacher will definitely see this request. Not to ignore it, not to remain indifferent - this is an important quality for a teacher.
  • Self confidence... Without it, it is difficult to realize pedagogical ambitions. Without her, it is impossible to lead people, a large children's team. And sometimes you have to defend your decisions.

A sense of humor, poise, and curiosity will not remain on the superfluous list.

Education

The main requirement for a specialist is a completed pedagogical education. Specifically, the teacher-organizer is practically not taught in universities (sometimes this specialty appears among others during retraining). But in teacher training colleges, it can go as a specialization (for example, "Primary school teacher. Teacher-organizer"). Even if a person graduated from a teacher training college and received a diploma in psychology or psychology teacher, he can work as a teacher-organizer.

And if education is accompanied by a great interest in the profession, the desire to maximally reveal itself in this position, then everything should work out.
