Template birthdays and other celebrations in restaurants, limousine rides and so on no longer inspire anyone, a nautical-style party is another matter. It is imperative to know what the scenario of a birthday in the sea spirit can be, what thematic contests to hold for the 60th anniversary and other holidays. An equally important topic is costumes for adults and room decoration.

Room decoration

Decor

Decorating a room for a birthday or a simple nautical party isn't as hard as it sounds. A good option would be to use white and blue in various combinations. Red tones can also be used, but not too actively.

You can play up the theme in a more original way - remembering that sea water often has a specific green tint. The introduction of a deep yellow color, reminiscent of a sandy beach, will also be unexpected.

Of the individual decorations that you can even make with your own hands, it is worth pointing out:

  • for a variety of applications;
  • printed or hand-drawn maps of mysterious islands, exotic lands;
  • prints of paintings by famous marine painters;
  • white and blue streamers with congratulations;
  • anchors;
  • Andrew's flags or Jolly Rogers;
  • corals;
  • shells;
  • photographs of the water surface, the underwater world and its inhabitants, ships;
  • steering wheels, diving suits, compasses;
  • draperies with blue and blue fabric;
  • plaques on the doors of rooms with suitable names;
  • ladders, rope ladders;
  • figures of whales, sharks, octopuses, dolphins, polar bears, penguins, seals, fur seals, walruses.

A party for children is much easier to organize - just arrange the figures of boats, fish, and so on. As a background or decoration, you can use a "fishing" mesh made of corrugated paper. It's also worth taking a closer look at the festive turntables. Decorative items can be made from natural wood. It is logical to use models of sailing ships and old steamers, chests.

Attention should be paid to furnishings. More precisely, choose a room with a decor appropriate to the nautical style or remodel it. So, the necessary comfort is achieved by laying wicker straw or an inconspicuous carpet. It is recommended to supply heavy furniture; elegance and lightness in design, on the contrary, should be discarded.

It is advisable to use beige and light blue shades.

Photozone

Attractive photos can be taken using as a background or next to you:

  • portholes;
  • oars;
  • anchors;
  • signal flags;
  • sea knots;
  • photographs of famous ships;
  • suitable landscapes;
  • flags of different states.

The front side of the ship for the photo zone can be cut out of plywood or cardboard.

Windows must be cut through them. In the middle, they put a high stick or even a simple mop, use it to hang sails and ribbons. It's not a bad idea to show the ship on the way; the sky and clouds are cut out of whatman paper of a suitable color, and the guests are given specific marine attributes for the staged shot. Another possible option is to print posters from any films.

Inviting guests

Of course, such an original event also implies specific invitation cards. They can be designed simply in the style of white and blue colors, or you can use elements with the already mentioned St. Andrew's flag.

Sometimes they use bottles, figures of ships and sailors, animals and so on to choose from.

The text should be adapted to the occasion - for example, not to come, but to “moor” or “set off”, not a street or avenue, but “such and such a harbor”. It is better to send or transfer these tickets personally 10-14 days before the event, so that everyone has time to prepare and equip themselves.

They invite to a pirate party:

  • rolled up in a tube and put in a bottle of paper;
  • small schooners with inscriptions on the sails, on the hulls;
  • imitation of a card with scorched corners;
  • black mark;
  • small paper chests.

Choice of costumes

Both outfits in general and individual accessories in clothes should be carefully agreed in advance. It is misunderstandings in this regard that most often disrupt the party, or at least spoil the mood. We must not forget that the main thing is the essence of the event, not the surroundings. Dressing for a corporate party and for a child's birthday, for a themed wedding and for an elderly person's anniversary, for a meeting in a restaurant or a family evening with friends - these are all completely different things. For both men and girls, the following options may be suitable:

  • striped and white shirts;
  • evening or ordinary thematic colored outfits;
  • beachwear - shorts, pareos;
  • t-shirts;
  • T-shirts;
  • sailor suits;
  • the images of a corsair, a gallant military sailor, an experienced sailor of the merchant marine or a captain (boatswain), wise in life.

If you choose T-shirts, it is best with striped prints.

It's a good idea to use bright beachwear sundresses and white flared trousers. You should also pay attention to marine caps, peaked caps or peakless caps, and scarves. As for shoes, women are advised to wear sandals and pumps; men are also advised to focus on lighter shoes. It is quite possible to use even black suits, but you need to be more careful with them.

If you don't like the colors of striped clothes, you should focus on other stylistic techniques: drawings in the form of chains, anchors, ropes, starfish. You can use both a large number of the same type of images, and one large plot (print). From accessories, experts advise:

  • thin blue belts with chains or buckles in the form of anchors;
  • necklaces;
  • captain's caps;
  • plain bags of neutral colors (for girls - so as not to overload the image).

You can diversify the stereotyped representations by adding some notes of real historical clothing. So, in the era of the sailing fleet in Western European countries, sailors wore caps, cotton blouses. English sailors in the 18th century wore dark blue jackets, trousers and vests with steel buttons. The Russian fleet of the same era was different:

  • black hats with straight brim;
  • white shirts;
  • brown shoes such as shoes;
  • dark green peakless caps.

Festive table

Serving

A classic-style feast is best done in a stylized "wardroom". Its main decoration is a navy blue tablecloth. It will display the thought of blue sky and sea. It is advisable to add original funny trinkets and souvenirs from the farthest corners of the planet. Although they are unlikely to become unique, they will complement the setting and bring notes suitable for the occasion.

The dishes should be strictly white, classical geometry. All kinds of drawings, ornaments and monograms, even those that seem to fit the style, are undesirable.

For serving butter, it is recommended to use fish-shaped molds. Cutlery must be cupronickel. For drinks, use containers made of transparent glass.

On the table, along the center, you can spread a slightly twisted "seine" - more precisely, a narrow net of synthetic white fiber. Motley seashells, mother-of-pearl rosette shells, starfish will help you create the necessary mood. The use of glass vessels for setting candles is encouraged; 1/3 of these vessels are filled with a mixture of seashells and sand. Small seashells are used to serve salt, pepper, sugar and spices. Napkins can only be taken from white linen.

If it is decided to imitate not just sailors, but pirates, then we can recommend:

  • rolling napkins into scrolls;
  • installation of small toy "guns";
  • laying out next to the plates of hooks, telescopes, planed from the wood of sabers;
  • using a tablecloth with a treasure map printed on it;
  • the table itself is in the form of a ship.

Menu

This moment for adults and for children must be thought out separately. Although, by and large, the difference between them consists mainly of two points: the presence or absence of alcohol on the table and the size of the portions.

If you plan to hold not just a party, but a birthday or other holiday, you must definitely put a cake on the table. It is desirable to decorate it in a thematic style.

You should definitely provide for snacks (chips, squids, crackers) - they are served in paper boats.

As for light snacks, you can take a closer look at sandwiches with sea fish, caviar, seafood. It is imperative to provide for meat food, because some people reject fish cuisine. For baked goods, crumbly cookies are best. When choosing drinks, they are guided by the preferences of the guests. But, of course, focusing on strong alcohol is hardly reasonable; only at strictly authentic parties can rum and whiskey be used.

It is recommended to prepare the pizza either decorated in an original way or in an atypical shape befitting the occasion. We must not forget about vegetables and fruits, about themed salads (they are simply laid out in the form of a sea animal of your choice). Additionally, it is worth adding crayfish and shrimp to the table. Cooking pilaf in a common pot is also a good option. For snacks between competitions, you need to prepare canapes.

Alternative solution:

  • baked mackerel with vegetables;
  • Spanish chicken or turkey with garlic;
  • fruit dishes;
  • chocolate;
  • milkshakes;
  • stuffed pancakes;
  • cupcakes with images of pirates;
  • cakes in the same spirit or in the form of a schooner.

Finally, you can put together a nice light holiday table:

  • from Mediterranean salad;
  • Peruvian escabeche;
  • mussels in shells (very useful, by the way, for health);
  • lemon mousse.

Thematic entertainment

Contests and games

No decor and no dishes will allow you to achieve the desired effect on their own - after all, the marine theme organically implies activity. For a fun company, you need to think over the most original set of entertainment. It is good to consider the various options for guessing:

  • famous sailors and their biographies;
  • famous ships;
  • dates and moments from the history of navigation;
  • ship and port terms.

But intellectual contests are far from everything, because the main attention at a fun party should be paid to them at all. The most attractive games are:

  • coming up with pirate or just sea nicknames (it is desirable that in the future everyone would try to guess who had which nickname);
  • collecting "coins" from thick paper from the floor: the winnings are determined by speed and quantity, and for more interest - the competition is limited to 2 minutes;
  • pulling fruit out of a large basin of water with your teeth (of course, without hands);
  • boarding competition: balloons are tied to their feet, inside which they hide paper coins, the goal of the participants is to pierce the balloons from others and keep theirs intact;
  • transmission of words of the sea (pirate, naval, and so on) themes using gestures and facial expressions;
  • guessing dishes and products blindfolded.

Quests

It should be noted right away that the quests are designed not so much for sailors in a broad sense, but for pirates. A good example is the Chest Secret entertainment. If the player copes with the task, then the game goes on, and in case of failure it is necessary to take out the "secret message". These can be original items with incentive prizes. Alternative - "Underwater Treasures".

Already here, in addition to chests, stylized barrels can also be used. There, inexpensive bright jewelry, coins, small toys are placed in a layer of sand. You need to search for all objects strictly with shoulder blades; you cannot touch the barrel and its contents with your hands. Those with the most items will win. A good option is to search for treasures throughout the room; even in small rooms, there are usually many interesting places and opportunities for preparing clues.

Script ideas

The 60th anniversary should pass quite calmly and measuredly - this rule applies to both women and men. In any case, it is necessary to immediately decide whether the theme will be presented and reflected purely symbolically, or whether it will become the main dominant of the celebration. A full sea party goes like this:

  • introduction;
  • dedication to the hero of the celebration;
  • toasts;
  • congratulations to the participants;
  • games;
  • costume congratulations;
  • dance break (all this is interspersed with musical breaks).

In a similar way, you can organize the 50th anniversary, or any other holiday. Strong detail is not needed - on the contrary, you should improvise as much as possible and show non-standard thinking.

The main leitmotif can be travel - the main thing is to beat it correctly. It is best to organize a sea party on the shore of the reservoir. It is easy to organize beach activities and water games there, but you can also hold a celebration indoors - you just have to adapt the script.

For young people, it is required to come up with the most simple program, in which there will be more contests and games, and as few performances of heroes and animators as possible. Good core ideas that unify the whole action would be:

  • research expedition to unknown lands;
  • trip on a yacht;
  • shipwreck (you can beat the "help from the aborigines of the island");
  • search for treasure;
  • "Selection for the pirate team."
