Making a wreath of cones

• Decorating with sequins... Spectacular buds covered with gilding or glitter are commonly used to create New Year's wreaths.To create them, the petals of the cones need to be covered with a thin layer of glue. After that, sprinkle the cones with a small amount of glitter. Next, you need to wait a couple of hours. The glue will dry completely during this time. After that, the remnants of the sequins must be carefully chipped off. They can be reused to decorate the buds. Silver or gold paint can also be used instead of glitter and glue.

An important role is played by what material the base for the wreath is made of. It is made from various materials at hand.

1. Wire... You can use a metal hanger or leftover wire to create a metal base. The material needs to be shaped like a circle. The base for the wreath is solid. Most often, it is additionally decorated with a dense layer of fabric, thread or twine.
2. Insulation pipes... Thin insulation is also great for creating different sized wreaths. Its edges must be connected together using a glue gun. The base for the wreath should also be decorated with fabric, tinsel or threads. It turns out to be very light.
3. Cardboard... To create such a craft, it is enough to take two pieces of thick cardboard and cut out the same circles with holes in the middle from them. To make the base more voluminous, it is also covered with threads or newspaper tubes.
4. Branches... You can use willow or pine branches to create a frame. They must be cut in advance, cleaned of needles and various irregularities and dried a little. This will extend the life of the finished product. Green spruce branches are also suitable for such a wreath. Of these, as a rule, they make bright New Year's decorations for the home.

In addition to these materials, you will also need scissors and glue gun. To decorate the wreath, you can use both natural materials and Christmas tree decorations, rain, flowers or any other details.

Each cone must be well coated with glue and pressed tightly to the base. In this position, it must be held for a minute. After that, you can proceed to fastening the next part.
5. Having finished with the first row, you can proceed to the next two. For this, smaller parts are used. The rows should be straight and neat.
6. From the remnants of twine or colored tape, you need to make small loop and attach it to the back of the frame.

In addition to cones, tinsel, toys and beads are used to create this bright New Year's wreath. Making such a craft with your own hands is quite simple. The first step is to wrap a blank made of cardboard or wire with a dense layer of tinsel.

After that, you can start decorating the craft. For decoration, you can use bleached cones or painted with silver and white paint. They are attached in different parts of the wreath. Between the cones, you need to fix toys of different sizes and colors. It is best to choose 1-2 colors for decorating the wreath, for example, white and purple. The composition will be completed with small white beads and decorative bows. A wreath with tinsel turns out to be voluminous and really luxurious.

A wreath made from scrap materials will turn out to be environmentally friendly and durable. To create it, you can use the following materials:

• cinnamon sticks;
• dry branches;
• dried orange slices;
• nuts.

The basis of such a craft consists of cardboard wrapped with twine. Cones are attached to it in a chaotic manner. High-quality glue is used for fastening. 4. Straw. Autumn wreaths are most often decorated with spikelets of barley, wheat or oats. They are collected in bunches and dried in a warm and dry place.
5. Moss... Immediately after collection, it must be cleaned of dirt, and then placed in a dry and dark place. Away from direct sunlight, the moss will remain green for a long time. Store dry moss in a box. In this way, it will not become too fragile.
6. Needles... Before use, green needles must be laid out on paper and dried well. As with moss, keep it away from sunlight to prevent it from turning yellow. As soon as the needles begin to crumble, you should immediately get rid of them.

Using cones and other materials at hand, you can make not only a decoration on a wall or a door, but also a wreath on your head or an original craft for a garden.
