Wreaths of dried flowers - this is that small but important detail of the interior that gives the room a "mood" and sometimes is able to independently create a certain atmosphere. What are they?

A wreath is a special kind of decoration in the form of a small ring, which is decorated with various plant elements or materials that imitate them.

Depending on the material used, the methods of drying, storing the biomaterial and even cleaning the finished product change.

The first, as a rule, are made from wildflowers, they try to use only natural flowers and leaves in them, the wreaths themselves are relatively light.

Door wreaths are voluminous and heavy... They use prickly, voluminous materials. Some patterns can be additionally decorated with candles, bows, and so on.

Funeral wreaths are also worth noting. They are large in size and decorated with mourning ribbons. Each flower or plant used in them has its own symbolic meaning.

How to do it yourself?

Making a wreath using dried flowers is quite simple, you just need to follow the steps of a simple master class.

  1. First you need determine the diameter future product, then cut out the cardboard base in the form of a circle. In the center, you need to make a hole so that you get a cardboard ring.
  2. Next, newspaper sheets are folded into tubes and glued along the circle... From above, the composition must be pasted over with corrugated paper in order to "close" the newspapers.
  3. Now we start decorating... Usually, small dry branches are glued on the side around the circumference.
  4. Then the flowers are fixed with glue... The process starts from the outer perimeter to the inner one, large specimens are glued from below, small ones from above. It is advisable to stick the flowers so that there are no gaps in the paper. At the final stage, the product is decorated with ribbons, strings and other decorative elements.

Beautiful examples

  • Simple, but at the same time festive, but rather New Year's, is a wreath from a muzzle. It can be made using several flowers of this plant and green ribbons attached to the frame, as well as with many different colors. The latter is often decorated with a bow.
  • The presence of a wreath is already considered a classic from evergreen branches on a door or wall during the winter holidays.
  • A versatile option that will most likely fit into any interior is a wreath of wheat ears.
  • If you want an unusual, but effective addition to the interior, then you should opt for on a massive piece of lavender flowers.
