While the girls are small, mothers, depending on the budget and their knitting skills, decide for themselves which dresses are more suitable for their daughters: purchased or handmade. It is convenient that children's stores are filled with knitwear, but they are mostly of the same type and are not always original.

Knitted dress for girls knitting

This cannot be said about a dress if it is made with your own hands, and with a creative approach.

Famous designers often use knitting needles and threads to create dresses that not every mother can afford. But no one bothers you to pamper your daughter with the most beautiful knitted dresses, if you master the basics of knitting and learn how to combine patterns.

Knitted dress scheme for girls under 1 year old

This openwork dress consists of a yoke made with a “leaves” pattern and a skirt.

The top is knitted in a circle, without seams, from a soft but warm yarn.

To create a cape top, take a measurement of the neck circumference. The density of the knit and the thickness of the thread, together with the neck circumference, will determine the number of leaves.

Also, don't forget to make the button fastening.

Dress "Flower" for a girl of 2-4 years

To create a simple a-line dress with beautiful flowers, you need 200 g white cotton threads, as well as red and purple threads, knitting needles and buttons for fastening.

Knitting density: 10 x 10 cm = 20 stitches x 25 rows.

  • Cast on 98 loops with white thread for the back, knit 12 rows according to pattern 1.
  • Change the thread to purple and knit a strip of 2 rows of the front surface, while evenly reducing the first row by 8 loops. Knit such a strip from white and then from red thread. Knit the rest of the fabric with basic white yarn.
  • In every 4th row, decrease one side stitch on both sides until there are 62 stitches in row.
  • To form a clasp, close 4 loops in the center 35 cm from the bottom of the back, and then knit the halves separately. From the same row, begin to close the loops for the armholes: in each 2nd row, twice 3 loops and twice 2 loops.
  • After another 14 cm (49 cm), close the first 8 loops on both sides, and remove the remaining central 22 loops on the auxiliary knitting needle to process the neckline.
  • The front of the dress is knitted in the same way as the back, only on the 10th row from the red stripe go to the pattern under number 2 "Flowers".
  • Having knitted 35 cm from the bottom of the front, close the loops for the armhole, and to form a neckline at 43 cm, first close 8 loops in the center, and then 4 loops on both sides in each 2nd row, 2 loops twice and twice, 1 loop.
  • Also, after knitting 49 cm from the 1st row, close the remaining loops and sew the shoulder bevels.
  • To process the neck with a tape, remove the loops from the additional knitting needle and dial the missing ones along the shoulder cuts. Tie the resulting 62 loops in two rows with a scarf satin stitch with a purple thread.
  • Tie the armholes with purple yarn.
  • Cast on 40 eyelets from each edge of the fastener and tie 4 rows with an elastic band. Make button cuts on the right placket, and sew on the buttons on the left.
  • Embroider the stems with a thread.

  • After 12 rows (in the 117th) go to scheme number 4.
  • After knitting 37 cm from the bottom, close for the armhole on both sides of 6 loops, then three times at the 1st loop.
  • After another 13 cm, to form a neckline, first close the central 8 loops, and then in every 2nd row from the side of the neckline - 4 loops, gradually decreasing to one. It remains to close the other loops.
  • The central 17 loops for the front neckline are closed 45 cm from the bottom of the front. Further from the edges of the cutout - 3 loops, twice 2 loops and three times 1 st loop. Finish knitting at the same height as the back.
  • Sewing the dress along the shoulder and side seams, tie the armholes and neckline next to the "crustacean step".

Bolero

  • The 1st row of the back consists of 77 loops. Having typed them, knit a couple of rows with a shawl satin stitch and go to scheme No. 4. After 9 cm, arrange the armhole, and after 20 cm from the bottom of the back close the loops.
  • The 1st row of the right shelf consists of 34 loops. Having typed it, knit in the same way as the back, but in each 4th row on the right side of the part, make side additions along the 1st loop.
  • After 7 cm from the bottom of the shelf, begin to draw up the neckline, closing on the right side in each 2nd row along the 1st loop.
  • After 2 cm on the left side of the shelf, begin to draw up the armhole. Close the loops also after 20 cm from the beginning of work.
  • Tie the left one symmetrically to the right shelf.
  • Cast on 47 stitches for the sleeve. After distributing the loops, knit according to pattern # 1, then according to pattern # 4. To expand the sleeve, in each 8th row, increase both sides by one loop.
  • Having knitted 17 cm, make a rounding of the sleeves, closing 3 loops on both sides, then in each 2nd row three times 2 loops, 1 loops 9 times and 2 and 3 loops each. Finish the work by closing the loops.
  • Sewing the shoulder and sides, sew on the sleeves.
  • Crochet both shelves and the neckline at the back.

  • Knitting starts with 392 stitches in a circle. In this case, the work should not be twisted.
  • Knit the first 3 rows with a shawl stitch, then go to openwork knitting. It should be noted that the number of purl loops between the openwork stripes can be arbitrary.
  • After knitting 4.5 cm from the first row, in each 2nd stripe consisting of purl loops, reduce the number of loops by one. For example, from 5 to 4, knitting two loops together. Considering the changes, continue to knit according to the pattern.
  • After knitting 9 cm from the beginning of work, reduce the number of purl loops in the remaining strips.
  • Knit 3 knit stitches together for 15 cm in each 2nd strip. Accordingly, the number of purl loops between the openwork tracks will increase to 7.
  • After another 2 cm, reduce the number of purl loops in the stripes to 6, after a row - to 5 loops.
  • After knitting 19 cm from the beginning, in each 2nd strip, decrease the number by 1 purl loop, and after 3 cm, decrease the number in the remaining strips consisting of purl loops.
  • In the same way, reduce the number of loops to 3 at a height of 22 and 23 cm, then to 2 in 4 cm, that is, by 26 and 27 cm and to the 1st loop at 34 and 36 cm from the beginning of work.
  • Next, knit openwork paths with one purl loop until you get the desired skirt height.
  • We continue to knit the top of the dress with 7 rows of the shawl surface and in the last 7th row divide the work into the back and front.
  • Close 3 side loops on both sides, continuing to knit in this order: 5 garter stitches, 2 stitches worn out. smooth surface, openwork track, 2 p. smooth, 26 p. persons. smooth, and then in reverse order - 2 p. smooth surface, openwork track, 2 p. smooth surface and 5 garter stitches.
  • To make an armhole, subtract from both sides twice on the 1st side loop in every 2nd row. Work another 10 cm over the pattern.
  • To cut the neckline, close the 6 loops located in the center, then in each 2nd row close 4 loops on both sides, 2 loops twice and the 1st loop twice.
  • Having knitted 18 cm from the beginning of the formation of the armhole, the loops are closed.
  • The back is knitted exactly like the front, only the neck is made at a height of 12 cm from the beginning of the formation of the armhole. First, the middle 16 loops are closed, then in each 2nd row - 1 st loop 6 times. Also, having knitted 18 cm from the beginning of the formation of the armholes, all the loops are closed.
  • Sew the shoulder bevels and crochet the neckline. You can cast on loops and tie with two rows of garter stitch.
