Corner bookmarks look unusual. They adhere perfectly to the pages and do not break the binding. They can also be used as separators in your diary.

Bookmarks are necessary in order not to lose the desired spread. However, they should be quite thin so as not to break the book. The corner bookmark compares favorably with its counterparts in that it is easy to find, it stands out clearly in color. It does not fall into the book, does not distort the binding, because it sits on the corner.

Some schools do not allow fabric bookmarks to be attached to the cover, so corner ones are ideal for a textbook. Made in the original design, they will attract the attention of the student, he will want to use it, and therefore it will not be lost “by accident”.

Most often, bookmarks are made of paper. The material is thin and plastic. Some corners can be made using origami technique. They are created without glue - by a certain fold of the paper. You can create original felt bookmarks. The material is quite thin, but at the same time dense, due to which it holds its shape well and does not crumble at the edges. Plus it is more durable than paper. Does not tear with prolonged use and is not afraid of moisture. The corner can be glued or sewn.

Colored paper, scissors, pencil and in some cases glue are usually required depending on the method of creation. Decorative items are also made of paper. Bookmarks made of wrapping paper will look interesting. Therefore, you should not rush to throw away the gift wrapping - it can be given a second life.

The easiest way to make a bookmark is to cut out two triangles and glue them together to form a pocket. But there are more interesting options. All bookmarks are easy to do with your own hands. In addition to step-by-step instructions, a visual master class is attached.

You will need a square sheet of paper 15x15 cm, which you want to bend diagonally. Next, bend the sharp corners downward, ironing the fold lines. Bend one bottom edge towards the middle to form a triangle. Fold the upper corners into the resulting pocket. The bookmark can be used as a base and decorated or left as it is and used.

A bookmark is assembled in the same way as a newspaper cap. The rectangular sheet is folded in half. The side corners are bent towards the center, resulting in a triangular pocket. Bend the bottom edge up. Bend and glue the protruding corners so that they do not bulge.

It is also performed in stages using the origami technique. Fold a rectangular sheet of paper in half to make a fold. Expand. Fold one side of the paper up against the fold line. Repeat with the second side. Turn over, fasten the halves with a small piece of tape so that they do not diverge. Fold over the tops, then fold over the corners to form the tops of the heart. Turn right side towards you. The bookmark is ready. Not only will girls like it, but it will also serve as a modest gift for Valentine's Day.

Or is there another option. For this heart you need a square sheet of red paper (for example, 15x15 cm). Fold the sheet diagonally and vertically to make a cross fold. Then bend the sides at the sides to form a triangle. Lay it in front of you at right angles up. Bend the front sharp corners up to make a fold. Then bend the top corner towards you to the base to also get a fold. Expand the top pocket along the horizontal fold line upwards. Next, bend the rectangle downward towards you, and then bend it in half back up. Unfold the outermost side corners, and then fold the inner edges of the paper inward. Bend the resulting top back up. The heart is ready. A triangle remains behind the heart, which can be left or folded symmetrically, and then the bookmark will be two-sided.

For crafts, you need a rectangular sheet. Fold the paper in half up. Then again, half to the side and unfold. Bend the bottom corners up to the center along the vertical fold line. Expand the parts and bend the sides inward. Step back 3–4 cm from the base of the isosceles triangle and cut off the excess if the paper rectangle was too elongated.

Bend the protruding part down (into a triangle), unfold to make butterfly wings. Smooth out the folds. If desired, the edges can be curly trimmed to make the wings more streamlined.

It is very convenient to work with felt, because it can be both sewn and glued. For crafts you will need:

• felt;
• thread or glue;
• scissors;
• decor.

Two parts must be cut out of felt, for example: a square and a triangle corresponding in shape. Sew around the edges to make a pocket. Decorate.

Any bookmark can be decorated, the main thing is that the decorations are not too voluminous or too much out of the book. It is especially interesting to decorate the corner pocket bookmark, for example, to turn it into animal faces.

Make a corner pocket out of brown paper. Cut the protruding part of the square with corners to imitate needles. Or, cut out needles from a similar square of paper and glue them onto a pocket. Paint over the obtuse corner of the pocket with a black marker or glue a triangular spout made of paper.

Make a corner pocket out of white paper. You can make a horn and ears from a colored one, with an additional decoration, for example: a floral wreath or bangs. Connect all the parts and glue the pocket to the obtuse corner of the pocket. Draw cilia with a marker. Or use a blank white paper heart. On the left side, glue the mane - a rectangle painted with colored felt-tip pens or pencils. Attach the horn on the right and draw the cilia.

Requires preparation of a corner pocket of any color. Make butterfly wings out of colored paper and stick on the pocket. Cut antennae from black cardboard. Or make a paper bookmark a butterfly according to the origami scheme and decorate. You can paint with paints, felt-tip pens, glue decorative elements made of colored paper.

Make a pocket corner out of blue, gray or white paper. Cut out ears from similar paper, cut out a triangular nose and pink smaller ears from pink, and cut out eyes from white and black paper. Glue the ears near the obtuse corner of the triangle, and the nose on the fold line. A cat bookmark is made in a similar way, only the ears are triangular. According to a similar scheme, you can make the faces of different animals.

Make a corner pocket out of red paper. Trim the free edge of the pocket to form the tops of the heart. Can be left as is or decorated. For example, glue a smaller heart or write something with a marker.

Make a corner pocket of green paper. Make cuts on the sides to make a herringbone silhouette. Cut a small rectangle out of brown paper and glue it to the edge of the pocket to make a trunk. Next, glue the Christmas tree decorations and a star.
